Soap and Glory - Christmas set : Zinging in the shower

So moving into the christmas period, you might be wondering what can i get a loved one ? Well below is one of the Christmas gift sets for 2014.  Soap and Glory is a firm favourite that you can never go wrong with. So if you decide to go with a Bath/Shower set or Makeup set, you know your getting quality from this iconic British brand.

They say :

We're a fun, fresh, fearless, fantastic British beauty brand. And we're known for wonderfully effective bath, body and skincare products including the super-plumping lip gloss Sexy Mother Pucker™ and award winning The Righteous Butter™ body butter. Soap & Glory recommends applying products with happiness and abandon, because while beauty absolutely matters, it doesn't matter absolutely.

Fast, fresh and fruity. Invigorating, happiness inducing, wake me up before you go go out to impress,
this irresistibly zesty, sweet-lime-scented trio features Sugar crush Body Wash,
Sugar crush Body Buttercream and a mini Sugar crush Body Scrub, plus a luxe Body polisher.

This Soap & Glory gift set Includes:
• Sugar crush  Body Buttercream 300ml
• Sugar crush  Body Wash 250ml
• Sugar crush  Body Scrub 50ml
• A luxe Body polisher

So this is one of the editions from the 2014 Christmas edition gift sets. Zinging in the Shower features the iconic, Sugar crush scent products. This scent is very refreshing and rejuvenating for any time of day. Its one of my firm favourites from Soap and Glory.

Sugar crush : Body buttercream

Soap & Glory’s must-have moisture-extreme, re-energizing, sweet-lime scented body buttercream for supreme skin smoothing! Loaded with shea and cocoa butter, almond and coconut oil, and a super-refreshing triple whammy of lime oil, kiwi juice water, and smoothing lime tree blossom extract, Soap & Glory’s new ultra-rich body buttercream is irresistible.
After a bath or shower on still slightly damp skin, massage a handful of Sugar Crush Body Buttercream onto your skin from your toes to your shoulders.

The Sugar crush body buttercream is a luxuriously smooth and easy to apply product. The buttercream infused with the beautiful scent, which lasts during the day. Its thick and absorbs well to moisturise the skin through the day. I love this buttercream for my morning skincare routine, as it  keeps the skin intensely moisturised. It helps keep unwanted impurities out and also is perfect for the winter months. A perfect mix of many lovely oils and butters that keep the skin looking healthy. A lovely product offering from Soap and Glory.

Sugar crush : Body Scrub

Body fuses freshly-squeezed sweet lime, sparkling lemons, sweet vanilla musk and almond oil, with sea salt, smashed brown sugar, glycerin and macadamia oils to leave your skin feeling smooth, supple, and sexy. Miraculous on dry legs, elbows, it’s energizing, exhilarating, amazing.
Scrub in the shower once, twice, or three times weekly, depending on the level of scaliness you struggle with.

Beautiful scrub that really does come in handy during these winter months when dry skin can cause flakey skin. Again infused with oils and butters to help moisturise the skin during exfoliation. I would advise that you use this scrub on the body, with gentle motions to obtain the most from this scrub. Its refreshing and with the infusion go lime and lemon scents, certainly makes for a lovely morning awakening.

Sugar crush : Body wash & Body polisher

Body Wash (which doubles as bath bubbles) mixes mouth-watering kaffir limes, sparkling lemons, sweet vanilla musk and coconut oil. Energizing, revitalizing – it’s an instant wake up call for tired minds and bodies, with Cool Capsule X to cool and refresh, radiance-boosting Kiwi water juice and a super creamy M-Suds moisture-boosting base.

This shower body wash is the perfect moisturising soap and soak product. It can be used in the shower or to give you a luxurious bubble bath. Whichever you decide, i personally have a shower and this release's the most intense scents that make having a shower truly more enjoyable. You won't want to leave. It doesn't take much to get a lovely full sud filled body polisher, which is perfect for the days you are not exfoliating. The body polisher is perfect for the shower wash and anyone who needs daily removal of dry skin. It is gentle on the skin and does not grate.

This Christmas set from Soap and Glory is a beautiful gift for anyone, or even the perfect treat to yourself. If you love the Sugar crush scent or are looking for a scent with a refreshing and invigorating set of products. I would highly recommend this set. Ive loved Soap and glory products and the Christmas sets that they have released. The perfect gifts for the Christmas season and beautiful for anyone looking to try the Soap and Glory range.

Soap and Glory - Girl O Whirl Christmas set

So in the run up to Christmas when we all are looking for the perfect gifts, why not look at Soap and glory's offerings. This year they released a selection of gift ranges from their cosmetics line. So I'm am reviewing the Girl O Whirl set, which has a selection of the Soap and Glory cosmetics within a glossy black casing. Now this will be a picture heavy review as I want to show you the full beauty of the set.

So Soap and glory discribe the set as ;
A cornucopia of colour, a stack of glamour, a bundle of bestselling beautystuff. Any way you apply it, colours that’ll give any girl the gift of gorgeous.

This beautiful set includes ;

- 6 Lid Stuff™ eyeshadows

- 6 Supercolour fabulipsticks™
- Thick & Fast™ Super Volume mascara
- Sexy Mother Pucker™ gloss stick in Nudist
- Glow All Out™ luminising face powder
- Solar Powder™ multi-shade bronzer
- Eyeshadow brush
- Lip brush
- Blusher brush

Eyeshadows and Lipsticks
I will go through the eyeshadows and lipsticks first (swatches included).
The fabulipsticks come in 6 shades, which are a perfect mix of nude through to a red shade.
Top shades are : Naked beige, Guavarama and Red my lips
Bottom shades are : Missing pink, Perfect day and Man trap
Now they are creamy and highly pigmented. It has a lip brush included for application, which is soft considering I do find applicators redundant in kits. This brush is suitable if you wish to travel and not bring additional tools.

The eyeshadows I've used before from a lid stuff quad palette. However I don't have these shades, so it was nice to have more to experiment with.
Top shades : Vanilla, Wild blue and Smokin
Bottom shades : Minky , Dandy plum and Black gold
Now Vanilla is embossed with the Soap and glory logo (as is like the quads, one shade being embossed). From my experience of the quad which was very creamy, blended well however I found a shade or two a little chalky. These shades seen to be more buttery and extremely pigmented with only a little swatch needed. Wild blue and Black gold are the most pigmented of the set, which was lovely as the blue is beautiful. A very unique shade indeed, then paired with smokin or Black gold could be an amazing smokey eye look. The colour choices are perfect for the season, plus defiantly give you more then one look.

Beauty powders
The bronzer (Solar powder) and luminising (Glow all out) powder within the kit are just like the boxed versions.

Solar powder is the bronzer side and a subtle bronzer with slight shimmer when applied. It can easily be built up using the darker half of the powder if you feel it's too subtle.
Glow all out is the luminizer powder included. Now it looks quite heavily white on the swatch, but this is a heavy to show how it appears. You would not use this much in reality and only need a small amount. It can be used multi purposely for highlighting the cheeks, nose and Cupid's bow. It's not powdery and does blend well to a shimmer finish, help bring out that seasonal glow. I do like this powder as it is easy and blendable.

Additional extras
The added extras in the kit you will find the brushes needed for eye, lip and powder finishes. They are soft and perfectly usable tools for the application of the products intended for use.

Sexy Motherpucker : Gloss stick in Nudist
I use this gloss stick as a handbag essential, they are hydrating and offer a hint of colour. Perfect for winter also as they offer the perfect shade to look natural.

Thick and fast Mascara : is soap and glory's mascara that offers thick and Volumous lashes. A bristled ended brush that seperates and coats lashes, leaving no clumps. A perfect way to finish a look off.

The contents :

So all in all this impressive kit will give a loved one, a full set of makeup introducing them to Soap and glory. Also offer them quality and the perfect travel case (the plastic holding is not fitted, so can be removed easily).

I do wish that the Cat-eyeliner had been included as this truely would have made it the set to beat. However as whole this set won't disappoint, the colours are pigmented and a mix of usable products.  Very impressed at this years gift offerings from Soap and Glory.

Soap and Glory Cosmetics - Glow all out / Love at First blush

Now i love the Soap and Glory range, I have the Bronzo powder, Lip stuff eyeshadow and whipped body wash. I have liked the face powder the most in Bronzo as its not too heavy and leaves a nice glow to the skin. So i decided to get the 3 for 2 offer and purchase the others. Now i wanted the "Its a blot" powder also, however i could not find it for love nor money. So i need to order it online next payday and i admit i may be getting more items as well.

So this time i bought the Glow all out which is a luminizing powder and Love at first blush which is surprisingly lol a Blusher. I also got the Kick ass concealer but il review that separately as i feel it needs its own review being that it does something different for your face.

Glow all Out - Luminizing powder

So the luminizer is a light powder and embossed with the Soap and glory logo. It is a pearlscent powder that gives that glow to the cheeks. The powder is soft and you don't need much at all, it doesn't cake but it also doesn't feel heavy so i would be in a natural when applying so you can see how much glow your adding to your skin. It brings the cheeks out so well and I've used it and had all three powders on me. They also compliment each other, now you may see the shimmers in each and it can go overboard if you don't dust off the excess. However you can reach a lovely balance and make your skin glow and look amazing. Also you wont look like a glitter-ball so don't worry as this Glow all out can be added to a plainer blush if you wanted to add something to it. So its really about seeing swatches in store and what you want out of a powder.

Love at first blush - Blusher

Now love at first blush is really lovely and it has a 3 wheel pie like setting in the pan, you could use this alone and grab a smaller contoured brush to pick up separately the blush, highlight and bronze shades individually. I swirled my brush in the pan and it gave me a luminized - blush almost berry colour, really lovely and natural. So for the day i would only use this as my main blush and contour, now I'm not a mad contour woman as i have a rounder face and honestly looks like I've just got 2 sponges of bronzer on my cheeks also yes i do blend it properly but it just does not work so i use bronzer to colour me up as i can look pale in the winter until summer.

My look with Soap and Glory Powders

So this is my look with all 3 powders on (Bronzo, Glow all out and Love at first blush) and i really like the finished effect, i will upload a natural light picture when i receive the "All a blot" pressed powder as i will be interested to see how that powder feels all over and sets a foundation into place.

Soap and Glory - Lip products

So with the Powders i purchased i was kindly sent some lip products to review and I'm very thankful to Soap and Glory for allowing me to review for them. As I've really been torn on what to try as they all look so good. I adore the packaging so much as its so classic and chic, I'm drawn to that vintage feel in all products i own.
So i have done separate reviews as to give a proper opinion on each set of products that apply to certain areas, so in the lip section i have the "A great kisser " Lip balm in cherry chocolate, "Sexy mother pucker " Gloss stick in nudist, "Super fabulip stick " Lipstick in Perfect day and "Sexy mother pucker extreme plump " Lip plumper in How nude.

A Great kisser Lip-Balm in cherry chocolate

This lip balm wow firstly, smells amazing. It reminds me of a black forest gateau almost with the cherry red lip balm infused with the hinty smell of chocolate. This lip balm is quite solid and will melt down with the heat on your finger, it is one of those balms the more you work it the more it moves. So its not a loose consistency on the lip and has a good staying power as it is a thicker formula. This i feel is a really good winter/cold weather balm as the layer is so good at giving you that barrier protection you look for in winter, if you can resist licking it off as it does smell to darn tasty. Plus i must admit its got a sweet taste and not a balmy one so you very well might end up just licking it off without realising. I really do like this balm and think its just a wonderful addition to my handbag.

Super colour fabulip stick in Perfect day

Now i must admit I'm a dubious being when it comes to lipsticks released by brands as i love smooth lipstick that offers hydration as i am not keen on glosses, i find its like sticking glue on my lips. So i very rarely will venture to something new unless i do a lot of research. I can honestly say this is my favourite product in the lip series as wow it is like pure velvet and creamy, plus the pigmentation on these really stunned me. I was just not expecting them to have such great colour payoff. I will be purchasing more of these, as for me they offer such lovely moisturising feeling on my lips. Im going to use this lipstick in my next look post as i need to show you how brilliant the colour payoff is, but i have included a swatch for now so you can see the consistency and pigment.

Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss stick in Nudist

Now i have one of these and i really like it, they are comparable to the super saturated chubby sticks urban decay do. Just as hydrating and slight tint to the lip which enhances the colour without being too over bearing. I like this as i find it so hard to come across more nude and natural tones without them coming across like I'm lip-less. So if your on the hunt for a new hydrating product thats not heavy nor is it a consistency that you will not feel is making your lips stick together.

Swatches

So as you can see the colour is quite sheer and not over powering.

Sexy Mother pucker Extreme plump in How nude

Now this was the only product i cant say i would purchase and only for personal reasons because as much as i like a good bit of chocolate, I'm not over keen on chocolate smelling products. If you do this will be right up your alley as it is a rich scented product, it is a chocolate smell.  Now I'm not sure if its just this shade or the others smell of different things as the colour is like a liquid chocolate. However i would air on the side of applying this very sparingly so its not as thick as the swatch below, as the plumping element of this product is a quite obvious tingling sensation. I tried this and its not unpleasant but it defiantly does something to bring the blood to the lips to engorge them and give them a plumper appearance.
So if that is something your looking for then maybe see if this works for you. The colour payoff is great for a lip gloss as the swatch shows.

Swatches

So overall im really impressed with the range offered by Soap and glory in the Lip section. There products offer high pigmentation, hydration and something to cater for everyone. I would happily purchase more of these products for my collection. They certainly offer me a range of more natural colours that suit me personally and I'm happy with the fact they also leave my lips feeling like they are being hydrated for a very long time. They have a good lasting power and  offer great pigmentation. The  packaging is the usual lovely Soap and glory style with a real woman feel to it. So again thank you Soap and Glory.
