Yves Rocher - Makeup review and look

Now I've been so impressed with the skincare, i wanted to see if the makeup was as good. Eye makeup is my main focus whenever i wear makeup, as i think it can be so exciting and creative. I received a pack of eye makeup from Yves rocher and at the end of my review i will show you the look i achieved.

Yves Rocher is reinventing the smoky eye with its new eyeshadow combinations featuring four effects for endless customised options. Easy to apply, the ultra-soft and fine textures blend into the skin for perfect coverage. A flawless hold and pure radiant colours that give you a perfect look.

Green quad and swatches

Looks : Used dry, the ultra-pigmented tones reveal shimmering, satin or matte effects. Used wet, the shimmer and satin turn metallic, and the matte becomes dense for a more intense and sophisticated look. Always in perfect harmony, they offer endless personalized makeup possibilities.

The eyeshadows are light in texture and buttery, applying well to the eye and adhereing to any primer with no fallout. Even the light glitter shade did not cause much concern in application and blended in well with the other colours on blending. In applying as recommended on the package i achieved a lovely deep green smokey eye, with the light green giving a beautiful lightness to the look. The black was very pigmented and only little of the eyeshadow is needed to achieve this look. I really liked the packaging and product in the way it performed. Perfect for travel and i would not hesitate to purchase any of the other shades to try. 

Mascara Volume vertige

Mascara Volume Vertige : Maximum volume and spectacular curve. The unique combination of the Reservoir© Brush, which releases the perfect amount of mascara to maximise volume. The formula enriched with a fixing botanical extract, leaves your lashes looking sensational.

Gives a light and pigmented application onto the lashes with no clumping. It allows for perfect placement of the mascara onto the lashes. In application and drying it was very fast, then took another layer very easily again without clumping. During the day it did not flake nor cause any irritation. On removal it came away easily and with little trouble, a very impressive mascara both on the eye and on removal. 

100% Kajal Eyeliner

100% Kajal eyeliner : Eyes highlighted in luminous colour this spring. Yves Rocher unveils the key to your powers of seduction. A creamy intensely pigmented Kajal in 6 trendy beguiling shades for a captivating look.

This Kajal is creamy and very pigmented. It can be applied from the bullet and also be applied using a brush. On the inner part of the eye i used a smaller brush, the product was creamy enough to apply like this. I used a small brush to just apply some shadow to the liner to set it, as it was so creamy. However it did not give me any indication it would transfer or not set, i just wanted to help it last longer. It is a step i would do with any cream liner. This liner can also be applied to tight line and used in the waterline. 

Eyeshadow primer

Fixing Eyelid Primer : Smoother eyelids for intense colours which stay radiant for longer. Plus eye-shadow remain's in place. Enriched with Camellia oil, this eyelid primer smoothes and fills wrinkles and fine lines.

This eyelid primer is meant to help the eyeshadows stick, plus keep them looking strong for however many hours you need your eye makeup to last. In saying that it didn't give me a very good base to cover my veins and blue tinge that i would usually find in my primer. Now this is a moisturising primer and if you don't need coverage for veins or dulling this skin colour then its amazing. I would still use this as a primer to moisturise, then use a coloured base so i have a skin colour canvas to work on. So it did fill the lines and didn't make my shadows crease which was important. So whilst I'm very on the fence about this primer, it does moisturise plus feel silky. It does need more pigment to become a firm base for ladies needing the coverage. 

Look with products

Above is the look i created using only the 4 above mentioned products. As you can see just below the eyebrow where there is a reddish tinge is, that area is where the primer needs to be more pigmented to help cover that. Other then that feedback, i can say these products do perform. They offer a silky, pigmented and quality makeup. Im quite excited to use more products from the range and see what i can achieve with them.

Yves Rocher is a well respected and french company that endorses the use of naturally made products. I love this brand as it is natural and uses botanical knowledge to make the most beautiful products. I was kindly sent some products from there new Serum Vegetal release. Using a new and innovative new plant, which can improve skins integrity. It is really quite interesting and i was happy to try and also tell my readers about this new find.

Rebuilds skin to regain plumpness

Ive used this as a base moisturiser for my morning routine and makeup days. Its really hydrating and refreshing, plus i noticed it really wakes me up. Especially my eye area where i can find they get sore, if i dont have enough sleep so this is really cooling. Ive really enjoyed using this in the morning. I can see my eye area is improving. Its not looking as blue and tired as it used too. I really am impressed as i never have seen creams actually work with solid time run use, yet just give a slight quick fix. This i can see is actually repairing the area and helping it to replenish. I think the mix of the night and day cream really is essential, as the consistency of the night cream i think helps with the hydration process. 

Wrinkle & Firmness : Night Cream

Plumping Night Care 

Restores firmness every night. Even deep wrinkles are corrected. Skin appears firmer and more toned when you wake. Skin is intensely nourished thanks to the product’s corrective balm texture.

This texture is most definatly a lovely balm and i can only describe it as a gel/balm and cream mix. It makes your skin so smooth on application and absorbs very quickly. Yet it doesn't feel at all greasy or  slippery on top of the skin at night. It has a slight floral note to the earthy scent it gives on application, but its very soothing and not overpowering. It didn't cause any sensitivity at all when i used during the night and my skin was smooth too the touch. I defiantly think that it refreshes the skin and gives a lovely firmness around my eyes. Ive noticed that the creases have subsided and my forehead is not ageing as fast as it seemed to me now. Im really loving this system of creams and its very much worth investing in. I need to replenish my pot soon and cannot wait to recommend this to everyone. 

To finally say then that once you find your cream match above i would firmly recommend this. It's natural and Yves rocher as a brand is really making some excellent products. I can see why its such a household and loved brand in its native France.  Ive really enjoyed trying this set and seeing the results from this innovative and new discovery. It is most defiantly one that is a recommended and will be a holy grail for my skin certainly. I would encourage anyone to go onto there site and read up on the new botanical finds within skincare, Or just to simply have a browse at some fine and inexpensive products. Good skincare shouldn't cost the earth and Yves Rocher go to prove that it doesn't have too.

Yves Rocher is a brand i know of through subscription boxes. Ive had some samples and really liked the products ive tried so far. Its affordable and has a vast selection of products.

Silky Cream  {Les plaisirs Nature}

The enjoyment of a melt-in body cream enriched with organic oats. Nourishing and deliciously perfumed with organic oats. This melt-in body cream brings, incomparable suppleness and softness to the skin veiling it with lusciousness.

This cream is presented in a lovely flip jar that can be reused, after you have finished with the cream. I have used this cream for the past couple of weeks and its beautiful. My husband has even commented on how much he likes this cream. It looks very thick and gives the appearance that it wont absorb, however when it touches the skin it goes translucent. Then when you look at your skin it is covered with a hydration layer, which absorbs within minutes and smells fresh. Beautiful cream i would recommend to anyone, needing hydration after a bitter winter on the skin. This is light and perfect for anyone who doesn't like heavy creams. 

Fizzy Bath Cube {Les plaisirs Nature}

The pleasure of a fizzy bath with luscious coconut. This fizzy bath cube dissolves into a multitude, of tiny perfumed bubbles that burst on your skin. Your bath smells wonderful. A luscious interlude that brings immense relaxation.

This little cube may look small, yet like they say "the best things come in small packages". This doesnt dissapoint at all. Just dropped into your warm water, its turned into a coconut rich relaxing tub. Coconut is perfect for the driest and most sensitive of skins. Also conditions hair beautifully so this water is nourishing, from the minute the cube fizzes away and you step in. Tiny bath cube and perfect satisfaction in one. 

Yves Rocher - Long-lasting botanical moisturising hand cream

Your hands are thirsty for moisture every day. Just like your face, your hands are highly exposed. Protect them by moisturising them daily. This moisturizing cream also has a long-lasting effect.

- Paraben free 

- Dermalogically tested

Botanical Extract with it's soothing and protective properties. Yves Rocher  selected Arnica Chamissonis, for its ability to shield the skin from external aggressions.  

So the hand cream whilst i will say the packaging, is really not to my taste in that it seems to need a slight rebrand. However its the product that matters and how it performs.This cream is thick when squeezed from the tube. However it rubs in well and absorbs with the warmth from your hands. So it doesnt sit and cause sticky or tacky feeling, which is whats important for me in a hand cream. You can feel the cream has been applied as your fingertips feel instantly softer. It smells lightly fragranced with floral  scents and tones. It is a long lasting cream and felt that my hands were softer, after application and not chapped or sore for a longtime. 

Yves Rocher - Anti fatigue foot gel 

Lavender has long been known for its relaxing and purifying properties. It is organically-grown. The fresh extract give us our organic lavender essential oil. Instantly soothes heavy-feeling legs and feet.

- Organic lavender essential oil for the well-being and comfort of your feet.

- Also refreshing peppermint essential oil.

- Shea butter for its restorative action.

Apply 2 times per day on your feet and massage upwards on legs.

The anti-fatigue is new product to me for feet especially. However it makes sense to look after your feet, aswell as any other part of your skin. The lavender is a well known multi-purpose ingredient, that rejuvinates, relaxes and recharges skin and moods. So does the anti-fatigue work for feet ? 

Its definatly cooling and you can smell the peppermint oil within the gel. This is definatly good for the feet, if you are on them alot and need cooling down. Its fantasticly fresh and natural properties help keep skin supple. The feet are the part of the body that can breakdown so easy, so good care is important. This is definatly a product that can ensure this. 

These products are beautiful and affordable. They give a great standard of product, for each part of the body they are aimed at. Ive loved the Natural silky cream as its stunning on the skin and hydrates. Even though some packaging is not to my tastes, the products have shown me that packaging is not everything. We do get lost in packaging but Yves rocher is definatly is providing quality first class products. 

Yves Rocher - Botanical Hair repair oil

Yves rocher is a brand known to me via a beauty box with which I recieved a very highly pigmented lipstick. However on looking at the site I saw this brand is multi product supplier. Catering to all your needs from haircare to makeup. I was kind enough to be sent there hair oil which offers a botanical and natural approach. Its silicone and paraben free, made from oils plus enriched with macadamia plus babassu oils, 150mls costs £10.90 which isn't bad for a hair treatment. (Currently on offer for £5.50 in the sale).

He made it by hand and sold it locally. Yves Rocher - Hair repair oil 

Plus during the summer its really imperative to take care of your hair as well of your skin. I have very curly hair and its suffered alot over winter. Even cold can be harsh so these type of oils are really in my favourable books. I use alot and serums, so I defiantly do enjoy them. However I do think that its important they don't add a greasy feel to the hair and overload when your main aim is to add nutrient. 

Now I know hair can go beyond help and split so regular cuts are also important too, believe me I've gone and had at times 5inches removed. It comes with the long hair territory.  Now my harsh lesson was due to over dye at home and not using a salon. Believe me I know home dye can be addictive but there is a fine line, so try to use a natural one and get advice from you salon as much as you can. 

 I like this oil as its infused with nut oils and I like the smell, plus light formula. To ensure no excessive build up, use a few drops then take this in your hands and rub it to warm and make the oil more workable. If you do this then you will find that you won't need to use any more. It goes very far and you will be surprised just how far, so if you have oily hair do not hit your roots, go about a inch away. Then massage down the whole shaft of the hair. 

Now if you have curly and suffer that summer "Monica" frizz as I call it, then these oils kill two birds with one stone. I would not add a serum unless my ends are being particularly difficult (that's my hint to get a trim). I would not use oil if I was sunning myself as you wouldn't on your skin. This is best used when you have washed and left your hair to dry naturally. Overall I love this oil and it has neutralised  any frizz and damage I had to a degree, its cheaper then the high end versions and I think I will be using this in future. As you can see the bottle is quite large plus like I said before you don't need a lot. So you won't need to purchase this again in a while. Brilliant investment and buy if your into hair oils and like natural products. So thank you Yves rocher as I think this is brilliant and I was looking for a ojon oil alternative. I have found it.
