Yon-ka Skincare - Fruitella Age correction and Lotion yon-ka

So I am aware of the lovely brand Yon-ka as I have tried the lovely pomplemousse before and now I have been given the chance to review two more of the skincare line. Very grateful.

They say

1954 to 1967 : turning passion into creation;

Pioneers in aromatherapy, Cécile, Ernst and Charles Muhlethaler are passionate about aromatherapy and in 1954 they found the Laboratories Multaler. At the time, the wealth of ancestral and empirical knowledge they were able to draw upon was shared only by a small number of scientists, chemists and doctors.Skin care for face, body and sun, for men and women, imagined and developed by a family driven by a passion for botanicals.

  • Pioneers in aromatherapy  - Essential oils therapy- , in phytotherapy – plants therapy-, phytembryotherapy – the therapy using vegetal buds-, all applied to skin care.  The discoverers and creators of a unique beauty secret with unparalleled powers: an exclusive and treasured formula combining 5 essential oils with extraordinary synergetic properties. "

  • Plant and fruit extracts
But why limit oneself to the essential oils, when so many other wonders known for hundreds of years can be drawn from plants?  They broaden their research, blend essential oils together with plant and marine extracts, in lotions, creams and massage oils, unveiling new synergies.

    The Essential Oils
At first they focus on the subtle aromas of the botanical world, the essential oils charged with solar energy. They experiment on themselves, family and friends, the therapeutic properties of the plants: purifying, healing, psychotropic. Their research leads them to a breakthrough discovery: “Quintessence” a unique combination of 5 essential oils from the Mediterranean which becomes the cornerstone of their future skin care line.

An Exceptional location for Exceptional Treatments
Located on the left bank of Paris (39 rue de Sèvres), this 4,300-square-foot Spa is a haven of peace and relaxation. It offers you an array of multi-sensory treatments in the enchanting world of Yon-Ka aromas. It is the inspiration of new treatments for it is at the heart of the clients expectations.

So as it shows above the mix of natural and fruit extracts, that the Yon-ka brand use to make the natural spa products.

So the first product is the Lotion Yon-ka which is a toner for dry skin. Its a lovely fruit smelling toner which you can feel being gentle on the skin. It's helped to give me something to not only replenish my skin after cleansing, but its alcohol free so I have no worry in my skin being dried out.
This toner just makes my skin feel like it's been tightened slightly as I'm noticing that my eyes look fresher and my skins not so difficult in this period of summer leaving and winter coming in. Usually it's this time of year where I'm moisturising over and over during the day to ensure that when I come to use makeup, I'm not having to then excessively exfoliate for fear of the dry patches under my eyes flaking off. So this has been a lovely addition to my morning and evening skincare regieme. As I do use this in the morning when after I shower as i do moisturise so I want as much hydration I can get, with this toner it's been giving me the extra step I want.

So the next step is the moisturiser which I'm actually in love with as the Fruitelia age correction is an amazing product. It smells divine and is so light but absorbs so quick and hydrates just with such ease. I love this especially for an evening moisturiser as winter if your dry skinned you need a heavy duty moisturiser, they however tend to sit on the skin so much. I hate the feeling of a heavy moisturiser sitting on your skin just waiting and waiting ....... And waiting for it to absorb.
This is so lovely that its natural using fruit extract and I literally can know that my skincare just now absorbs so quick I could put another layer on if I wished. I usually do for the winter, as I just don't think it hurts.

Above you can see the consistency of the cream and how it's like milk that just easily melts into the skin. If your a dry/combo skinned person like myself and winter is just a nightmare then maybe look into this amazing Yon-ka offering. A little goes a long way and its just made me want to stick to a lovely mix of this Yon-ka branded product and another brand I love in gel form.
Winter is looking good for my skin this year.

    Elemis - Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm (Anti-aging) *

So many people will know my love for Elemis as the Fresh-skin range is basically my all round everyday skincare for use with my clarisonic as well, also there wipes being my all time favourite wipe. Im just wishing the price comes down soon in a deal so i can stock up on them as I'm having to now go back to the affordable version i use. Anyways back to the current releases, which I'm really excited about as i just received a wonderful tub of the Pro-radiance cleanser  in a goody bag, which has on record time scales sold a seriously impressive amount.

So i was so excited when i saw there was a Pro-radiance illuminating Balm was being released.
    What the website says

This is a proper, effective moisturiser designed to be applied directly onto clean skin. The ingredients, as you would expect from an Elemis product, are all hardworking and pertinent to the cream’s success. And then the scent: a neroli, bitter orange, bergamot and lemon mélange, which is clean and mood-enhancing, and adds enormously to the pleasure of the application.

    Balm Benefits
    — It won’t ball under your fingertips if you choose to apply foundation, unlike many optically improving products.
    — It won’t sparkle under the light. There are no conspicuous luminising particles in our balm.
    — It won’t leave the skin tacky, or overly dewy, which can be the tendency with products that deliver this kind of fresh, super-hydrated finish.

skin tone*An illuminating balm that i could use as a primer was my main excitement, as i saw a pre-release and its qualities being hailed as a 'hybrid moisturiser' capable of a 3 in 1 properties. Plus during its consumer testing achieved amazing results after only 14 days.

With - 89% claimed boost in radiance instantly, 85% agreed it moisturised and helped fine lines and wrinkles then 91% as a primer said it helped provide a more even skin tone.
"Formulated with a powerful vitamin complex which helps prevent moisture loss and the purple orchid,  noni and acai to help prevent against the signs of ageing "

Elemis - Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm

So shall we test these theories out that the consumer statistics claimed this product could achieve and il admit my main aim for this products use will be as a primer. I do have some un-even skin-tone and can look very tired plus have fine lines in my forehead and under my eyes. Basically every woman's problem at a certain age hitting. I wont lie i have fine lines beginning and my lip area tends to be slightly darker in my smile lines. Also i have two tiny birth marks on one cheek that only are noticeable when my skin tone gains some colour.

So the Elemis packaging comes in a tube form method of dispensing and has as always the sleek logo at the top and the title at the bottom. In its simple packaging its chic, plus i prefer the tube as i find pumps will make you loose some product when your near the end. If you spend for high quality you should be able to use it all so in this case i will be. It has "Anti-ageing" also added to the tube which we will see as im planning to do the 14 day test the consumers did with makeup. I want to see all the positives plus, i also want to see whom this illuminating balm is most useful for. Being of a dry skin type i alway use a moisturiser and primer to help protect my face from being dried out by my makeup but also barrier from any products that may make my skin look dry. So on the leaflet it does instruct to use on top of the moisturiser, which makes sense for the illumination when used as a primer.

The consistency is thick, but is very easy to spread with the body's warmth to help the product absorb. Now my main concern on using this firstly is that its scented which can be a main cause of sensitivity with cosmetic products. How ever when it was rubbed into my skin it did not feel sore in any way or irritated by the product.
I then on using more and more realised it was more of a camomile scent then any sort of fragrance plus has a light tinge to it of beige. So I'm assuming no actual scent is within the product but its just the ingredients natural essence I'm smelling. Now i have used this as a primer and moisturiser to see if the bold statements stand true. I can honestly say i used a silicone based primer if my skin was to bad. As I would say "polyfill" it, as i don't want my dry skin to show up more. Then with putting loads of makeup on then reverse the work of moisturising too etc.

As a primer it works brilliant for my skin, being more normal to dry skin tone (Dry in cold weather), i found the product absorbed really well. Plus i was making sure to really use circular motions to get it really into the pores, plus all areas that suffer fine lines and unevenness.
Now the main area i noticed a difference is under my eyes, I'm going to look into this with the leaflet more to see if there is some form of reflective additive. As my bags and the need for concealer lessened or was non existent on some days. You may think well how bad can my bags be, I'm a insomniac so i have grey circles needing a ton of product to correct the light effect in this area.
Im so impressed again with these new gems Elemis keeps on releasing. I would repurchase this in a heartbeat as i feel it really makes a difference plus i suffer with skin that needs a moisturising barrier between my makeup. So multifunctional product that can be used in so many ways is a huge thumbs up for me.

Paula's Choice - Resist Foundation and Hydrating Lip Gloss

Paulas choice is a well known brand who cater both skincare and cosmetics to many women of the world and make the promise on there website to deliver.

At Paula's Choice, our mission is to take brilliant care of your skin!
Paula's Choice products successfully treat everything from acne to wrinkles, rosacea, sensitive skin, sun damage, dry skin, oily skin, and blackheads. They are 100% guaranteed to work for your skin type and concerns!
Because of our unique combination of research, reviews, and ongoing product development, women all over the world turn to us for objective, balanced, and documented information about what works and doesn't for your skin.

With an opportunity to review there new Resist foundation which not only offers light - medium coverage but the added anti-aging properties we all crave for in our makeup. As with all cosmetics, we have them on our face for such a long period it makes sense to have these boosted with anti-againg components. Many women whom have long and tiring jobs would not have time to invest in a full skin care regime so having these properties in your foundation is an amazing addition.

Resist Foundation , Hydrating Lip Gloss, Paulas choice Soft cream Concealer

So the foundation comes in a really professional looking packaging which is white, writing is simple and too the point with the essential details. It comes with a pump included which is important i feel to control the product and also helps with gauging how much you need on each application. It says a light to medium coverage but on use i would say this is easily build able to a medium.
It is a thick consistency but does spread well and is instructed that you apply with a brush and not rub the foundation in. So i would say this is worthwhile doing as i will explain further. I have had a few little dry patches on my cheeks and i can cover these but they also help me gauge how a foundation covers and if they can cake or highlight imperfections.
So i would say that if you have a dry patch or any form of exfoliation needed then i would do this first. I did this and it applied better, plus didn't highlight anything. So with this foundation you will need to invest in your skincare if you suffer dryness.
Now after this had been achieved and i had prepared with a primer and made my skin foundation ready, i followed the instructions to achieve the very best result. With a foundation and stipple brush i first applied in the downward motions they instruct and stippled the sides to blend in with my hairline and jawlines. Now whilst i understand some foundations are just apply and go, this struck me as a very temperamental foundation that needed to be used with practice to achieve that even look.
I would usually need only a 5-10 minute window to apply my daily foundation and i could use this with a blender or my fingers to apply as i saw fit. This is defiantly a foundation for a skilled and very apt foundation user. Or if your looking for this finish then you will need to sit down and take your time with it to achieve a great finish. I personally would invest the extra time as the benefits and the finished look are defiantly worth it as my skin looked flawless.

So after i got and even finish i then used the concealer with a brush and this is defiantly the way i would recommend it be used as it is defiantly a high grade concealer. Its amazing at covering blemishes and any dark spaces or spots. I found it easy to apply and rub in. It really did with the foundation give me a flawless look at the end. It made my blush radiate.

The Perfect shine Hydrating gloss is in Rose blush, it is a lovely gloss thats more of a stain but it is a hydrating form. Not sticky on the lips or in any way tacky.
Its available in 5 shades and i really loved the feeling of this gloss and to me that is a rarity as i find gloss so sticky and uncomfortable it is a lovely change to find one thats nice to wear and a lovely shade that compliments the whole look of the makeup range.

So i really did enjoy using this range, even though the foundation did take longer then my usual brand, the finish is second to none and gives an amazing flawless finish, However like with everything its practice and getting comfortable with change. It made my blush give a flushed look and the Lip gloss fitted perfect with my complexion. Plus felt hydrating and nice application.
Its defiantly a worth while investment if your looking for an anti ageing foundation, as there are few and far between on the market. It defiantly left me feeling flawless and healthy looking.

Do you have any Paula's choice makeup ? What would you like to try ?

    Where have i been ?

Many of us use makeup as we have a passion or or it is nessesity of our daily life. For me it is a mixture of things. It is one of those ...
