My little Provence box - (May Edition)

So with spring in full bloom, going into summer. The flowers and pollen maybe a  all encompassing part of this season. Yet My little "Provence" box finds a way for us to see the greatness mother nature creates.

So this month's box is inspired by provence. The best of france being from this region. France is beautiful and i cannot wait too see the content's.

Contents :
- Little provence Magnet's
- DIY Bracelet
- My beauty bag : L'occtaine & My Little beauty's eyeshadow stick
- My little world magazine

L'occtaine :
Mer & Mistral Shower Gel {Sea & Breeze}
So this aqua coloured shower gel, is giving the sense of summer. With its fresh fragrance this looks like a lovely product.
Roses et reines Hand & Nail cream
Hand cream from L'occtaine has always been a firm beauty must have as its fantastic. They have a range of scent's available, i love the shea and cherry blossom edition's. Its so nourishing.
Verbena body lotion
This is a lovely refeshing body lotion with a beautiful lemon fresh scent. It's moisturising and the perfect body lotion. Very Luxurious.
Verbena leaf Soap
This soap is stunning and crafted in the shape of leaf. It is a perfect travel soap to take on a trip. Especially to give you that feeling of luxury and freshness upon use.

My little beauty : Amazing eyeshadow
This eyeshadow stick is a beautiful bronze shade and is a twist up mechanism. Its a long wearing product that gives a lovely colour payoff, with a creamy consistency.

The Sunny cuff
Is by far the most quirky and inventive product ive had in "My little box" so far. You can wear the cuff as is, or be a bit creative and thread designs onto the cuff. With uniqueness and chic being very stylish, this gives you the perfect oppertunity to create your style. I love the concept of this addition.

Provence card & My little world magazine
So as with each month we have the beautifully illustrated card, with the inspirational quote. Also the magazine included, again i still do not like this map like format as it seems cheaper. I loved the old format of the magazine as it was easier to read.

Magnetic provence
So brighten up your fridge or space with these summery magnet's. Change the outfit with how you feel for the day or to suit the weather. It's all for the immagination and brighten the home, as summer brighten's your day.

British beauty blogger - Beauty box 2

We have the second beauty box brought to use from British beauty blogger. The first box was amazing and I was over the moon with the quality offered. The second promises to be just as exceptional. So shall we run down the contents to this amazing offering ?

Contents are as follows :
Alterna - Bamboo volume spray
Bourjois - Eyeliner (2 in 1)
CND vinylux - Top coat/ nail polish
Indeed labs - Hydraluron
Loccitane - Angelica cleansing gel
Loccitane - Angelica face toner
Loccitane - Cherry blossom hand cream
La Roche posey - Redermic R anti wrinkle
Mandara spa - Bath milk
Maybelline - Rocket mascara
Rituals - Car fragrance
REN -Glycolactic radiance renewal mask and invisible pores mask
Rouge bunny rouge - lip gloss
Urban decay - Moondust in Zodiac
Roger & Gallet - D'orange Huile sublime
Vichy - Smoothing and illuminating cream
Washi - Hot cloth

An amazing 17 products of which most were full size, the ones that aren't are most defiantly duluxe samples. There was an adorable Union Jack stocking included for the impending holiday season. Priced at £27 including postage, I would say this was an absolute steal of a box. I'm so impressed and happy I purchased this second edition, that I'm already excited to see the next.

The products I'm most excited to use are without doubt the Urban decay Moondust in zodiac. It's absolutely stunning on the swatch I did, with its mixes of greens and shimmers giving it a amazing unique colour. Very apt choice with Christmas approaching and shimmer being a must when in celebration mode.

Urban Decay - Zodiac

So I can't explain how much I love this edition and whilst it was a little more expensive, it was worth the additional amount. The value far out weighted what I paid plus had products I'd been pining for as a blogger over the year. I finally have them and can use decent samples sizes. I will be looking out for the next edition with trepidation and excitement.

Glossybox - March 2013

So beauty box time and with the turning of the seasons we are all in waiting to the coming of our spring and summer looks and dust off these winter colours.

So city chic is the theme to this month box, so we have heavy duty products to get you from boardroom to barstool. Now as an extra to the city chic theme there is a cute little travelling book, which has a run- down of the most cosmopolitain of cities and a sheet of stickers.

So with the usual box in all its dusky pink loveliness, black packaging

The contents
So the contents of the box

  • Elizabeth Arden - Eight hour skin protectant - 7ml sample size
  • Nails inc - Bruton street - 4ml sample size
  • L'occitaine - Immortelle Precious cream - 15ml sample size
  • Jelly pong pong - Lip blush - Full size lip chubby
  • Tresemme - Salon finish extra hold Hairspray - 100ml sample size

So on first glance im really happy with this box, i love the Elizabeth arden and Loccitaine brands. The sample sizes are really generous and its all products i would use. So lets go through them one by one shall we.

Elizabeth Arden
So the Elizabeth Arden, 8hr fragrance free gel like balm. Its a lovely light translucent pink colour and rubs into the skin really well. Its been a beauty editors favourite for 7 years as says the information in the leaflet and you can see why. Its not harsh nor does it have a sticky feeling as you can get with some balms which can have a tendency to sit on the skin rather then absorb in so this was lovely and the 7ml size is enough so i can take it in my handbag to appointments. Good all round balm that can be used on the hands, lips and any dry patches. So really impressed.

Nails Inc
Nails inc in Bruton street is a really lovely colour i will defiantly use and its a lovely change to the winter reds that I've been using. Its like a dusky pink and the consistency is really easy to apply plus it also goes on really evenly. Dries quite quickly and the standard of Nails inc which I've always found to be really high, however i will not pay £11 for a nail polish so this mini sizes are perfect. Also the only thing i find a bit off about nails inc polish is its really potent smell of chemical. Now this doesn't last but paint your nails in a well ventilated room.

Jelly pong pong
Now i know the jelly pong pong brand and have some of the range, i must admit i have a few lip chubby in red but im always on the look for quality lip products as with spring you want blush of colours and sometimes not a full lipstick coverage. Now there is one thing i have noticed with these chubbies on looking at a lot of reviews and thats the product can fall out and if the lid wasn't there i would loose it. So just be aware if you do have these that it could happen. It seems to happen when its colder and when it warms it doesn't happen so much.
The pigment is really good on this lip blush, i literally used a little application then pursed my lips and let the product melt and spread before i touched up as with these its easy to apply more then needed. With reds if you apply a lot they can be hard to fix if applying to much as i would find that they stain. So that would be a tip to chubbies, little to stain then go back to touch up. Happy this is a full size product and its a twist up, so overall very impressed.

Tresemme
Tresemme is a brand i know well from salon collections to being available in all retailers of your essential products. Feels like a really full long lasting product and with it being a strong hold hairspray it will last me a long time as i don't use much hairspray on my hair. So to volumise it will be fabulous and i love the size of the bottle as i find the massive bottles so cumbersome, i have tiny hands and when i style my hair i like to have a hand free to position the hair where i want it. So I'm so glad this is a travel bottle. I look forward to using this product.

L'occitane
The imortelle precious is a cream i have used before and i love the Loccitane range. The little glass 15ml sample is lovely and i find it rich and luxurious. Lightly fragranced and absorbs well into the skin, however the tip that is enclosed on the sheet is to cleanse and tone before using this cream.

So all in all i really love my glossybox, its full of brands i love plus will use. Generous sizes and well thought out. I will enjoy using all these products in my looks week plus my empties post as i can see these being included as must have favs, especially the Loccitane and Elizabeth Arden.

Did you get Glossybox this month ? What did yours include ?

Where have i been ?

Many of us use makeup as we have a passion or or it is nessesity of our daily life. For me it is a mixture of things. It is one of those ...
