MY STORY
From the age of 7 it has always been my dream to become a succesful Fashion Designer. Very Cliche I know but it is true.
I have tried to live the dream many a times; Working in a 'Formal Attire' boutique at the age of 14, making & selling clothes to my School peers, going to Fashion College, then to University etc but know joy.
After many years I finally gave up chasing the dream, in 2007 I got a chance to teach fashion. So, instead, I taught what I loved!

In 2010 I started a Masters Degree course & I began to acheive the techniques that I had always desired to learn. It was also at this time I had applied to start a business placement programme called S.P.E.E.D - Student Placement, Entrprenuer in Education.(You see, you get more opportunities like this as a student). I was succesful! I was mentored & they taught me to believe in myself, my ablities & my dreams again. It had been 10 years since I stopped designing & making for people & I had doubted all my skills.
Since graduating BA Hons, 1999, the fashion industry has been a struggle!

2 years on, now 37, the dream has arisen; I have designed and made over 6 Collections, showcased at over 15 Fashion shows around the globe. From Birmingham to America....No Really! I have recently shown my current 'Unorthodox' Couture Collection 2013 at Maryland fashion week. This collection has been based on geometric shapes. an array of subtle dying techniques and vivid artistic prints. Impressed? Next year I have been invited to 2 events in New York.
I have over 27 years fashion experience & I am not going to waste any of it.

The spark in me has come back. I launched my creative fashion label 'Catalyst by Tamara Joseph' in 2010, I love to experimented with surface pattern and print.
My Niche', well that's easy, it's to produce capsule printed pieces that last throughout all seasons, allowing men & women to feel unique and confident. I print all my own fabrics, using artistic & creative designs, I do occasionaly work with other artists & photographers, & I always aim to please.

My biggest goal in fashion was to have my own fashion label. I have always been inspired by my Mum and Gran & I thank the Lord everyday for allowing me to 'Live the Dream'
And I still teach!
