KISS : Gel polish kit & LED Lamp

It's no secret that i love KISS Nails and there manicures. I bit my nails since i can rembember and let's be honest its not a pretty look. As i used to go to the nail salon alot and now i cant visit them, i love that i have the option of home manicure's.

The Kiss® Everlasting Gel Polish™ French manicure set
This kit provides a flawless, high-gloss finish that lasts up to 14 days. It includes French wraps for a perfect smile line every time. The gel polish applies like polish and dries instantly under an LED or UV lamp (sold separately). Simply apply base gel and cure for 30 seconds, apply colour gel and cure for 60 seconds, then seal with top gel and cure for 30 seconds.
The French manicure set includes
- 28 French wraps in 14 sizes
- Brush on gel glue
- Petal colour gel
- base gel
- top coat gel
- gel cleanser
- 25 lint-free wipes
- Buff block, manicure stick, mini file and instruction sheet.

A fantastic set which gives a beautiful sleek finish. The instructions are easy to follow and can either use the colours provided. There are plenty of alternative colours to choose from as a singular bottle of nail gel. Which is what i did as i wanted something a little brighter then the french manicure, so i used a colour called "Lush". A really beautiful colour and amazing when applied.
LED Lamp

- Lamp set
- Safely cures gels quickly & evenly
- 30- and 60-second built-in timer
- Automatic turn-off
Experience : This lamp was fantastic to use. I especially liked the beep to make you aware the first 30 second's had passed. It allowed for a easy and really relaxing manicure. The lamp is small and compact, easy for storage and use if wanted travelling.
I really love this kit and cannot wait to use and purchase more of the gel colours. It's an amazing Nail set that gives me a fantastic time to relax and clear my mind for a short while. It also gives for social time when you want friend's over to have some girly time. The acrylic gel polish is of a professional quality and looks like i visited a salon. Easy to apply, with a high quality shine and even coat of polish. Its lasted a week so far with no chipping or showing that it could be breaking down, it looks fresh as the time i applied. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone whom wants salon quality yet does not have access to one.

Kiss Acrylic Nail's

So its no secret that i love Kiss nails. I bit my nails since i can rembember and now i finally have growth, as let's be honest its not a pretty look. Now as i have no strength in my nails as of yet, the acrylic nails by kiss are perfect to protect and preserve my progress. As trust me an acrylic nail is not a nice thing to chomp on as your daydreaming. Also disclaimer #donttrythat folks, just my experience in life.

They say :
Acrylic-infused nails deliver a flawless French manicure that costs less than a salon.

Acrylic-infused technology delivers a flawless French manicure that’s 2X stronger than other brands. The easy-to-apply nails go on with a seamless cuticle line so they look natural, and have a perfect French smile line that’s consistent on every nail.

Nail Type:
- Length:Short
- French Line Thickness:Extra Thick
- Smile Lines: Curve
- Bed Colour: Hot Pink

What you'll get:
- 28 French Nails in 14 Sizes
- Pink Gel Glue (2g)
- Mini File
- Manicure Stick

We start as with all nails by preparing fully, so remove any nail varnish and if you can buff your cuticles. This job makes me a little jumpy as in nails salons ive had my cuticles ripped to shreads so now i do my own nails. Honestly they last me because i do follow and add my own steps to my nails to make them last.

Ive had so many people ask me how do i make home kit nails last and its simple, judge your nails condition. If you have super short nails the you may need the glue version rather then adhesive backs. Again if you have some length get the appropriate size and adhesive needed. The beauty of Kiss kits is that its all supplied.

Once your nails are prepped and bone dry, size each nail before you attemt to glue them. I set mine on the table working from pinky finger to thumb laid out.

Tips : Always work from pinky to thumb and apply thumbs when all others are glued firmly. Also glue your non-dominant hand first especially if your not used to doing activities with Acrylic nails.

Application :
Take the nails and place them acrylic side down. (Its easier to pick them up and work quicker with the glue).  Open the glue and work on one nail at a time, firstly apply glue to the nail bed. Then apply glue to the bottom third of your acrylic nail.

Now get your acrylic and place the tip on your cuticle, from there place it down so all air gets removed and the surface areas fully adhere together.  Now you just apply all the nails and don't be too heavy handed on the glue. You should now have beautiful nails.

I love my Kiss nails and i admit my thumbs can come off but these nails are much shorter then the others. So the less nail space the likely hood is one will ping off but the glue and spare nails make an easy fix up. I would say dont go for the longest if your nails are super short, as with all things you start small then build up. Then you will have a wonderful set of nails and foundation to work on.

If you would like a picture board on application or more tips then il post one on my instagram.

ImPress nails : New designs

imPress manicure's have been a well loved product for me, that are easy to apply plus last. I cant get to have nails applied so this is the next best thing. I found they work for me and ive never had a problem with them. So when i heard and saw new designs, it would have been just wrong not too.

They say ;

imPRESS is the revolutionary way to apply polish. Lasts up to a week. No drying time, no chipping – unlike a nail polish manicure. Superior, lasting shine; like a salon UV gel manicure. So easy to apply; just peel off, press on, and done.

How to use : Select the correct size nail for each finger and set aside in order. Cleanse natural nails with prep pad. Align tab with cuticle, peel off and press down firmly onto natural nail.

So i have a beautiful set of black and white lace (TGIF) patterned, along with a vibrant stunning red shade. So like i say the application i find is easy, plus not too fit tight into the nail bed. If you need to go to a smaller size it does look more natural and the nail will adhere better. Ive tried a test, the size of my nail bed and slightly smaller but fits within more naturally. I found the size that really pinches the cuticle (bigger) will not last more then 2 days most, as it doesnt stick to the middle properly but just the sides. So go one size down, where it slides along the nail and meets your cuticle perfectly. This i find allow's the whole adhesive to secure firmly,to your own nail.

I hope you can see above from my close up, how im explaining the nail fitting close to the cuticle.I find they look more natural to my hand when i look at the full set applied.Plus then also they will last (i find) the amount of time that is specified on the package. Ive never had them last less then 5 days, even then the one i would loose is my thumb. 1 replacement nail later from my spares, within the container then my manicure is complete again. So i hope my tips will help and ensure that these new designs dont go to waste. They are fun and snazzy and ive seen a techno-colour dream (Below picture, middle left container) that i have on my "to purchase list".

Have you tried imPress nails ? What do you think of the new designs ?

ImPress - Press on Manicure

So when i think of false nails, more often then not its a bad experience as they last no more then a few hours. So along come imPress manicure, the new system where you simply peel off the backing, press and go. Thats all there is too it.

So when applied properly they can by claim last up to a week and be just as good looking as the rival gel nail finish. Plus i like that they are easy to remove without damage to the nails.

The website has a lot of amazing information and videos, they explain each step plus they also have an application included to see what the colours look like on the nail. Im loving this application as you can see all the designs from patterned to solid colour.

So this is how the pack comes, showing the colour plus the length. They have short length sizes also.

So the first step is to wash and clean your hands before using the preparation included.
So the pack comes with full and clear instructions on the back, plus there is a preparation pad to clean the nail to just ready it for the adhesive of the nails backing.  Also included is a little nail file secured to where the pad is, really does feel like an at home manicure, but a professional finish.

Now the bottle is really cute and functional, as you think its a just to show the product off but when you remove the lid the bottle pops open. So any spare nails you may have left can be stored incase you loose one later in the week or wish to keep for future use. Im really impressed as it looks really cute on my nail shelf plus i know that i can purchase more, with them having a proper storage container  and not just being wasted and forgotten. So in my opinion i really think they have given you value for money, as there is from what i can see 2 manicures included.

So after preparing the nail, you measure the nails up to your own. It says to use a smaller size then your nail for best results and lay out the sizes you've picked before hand. I did the steps as stated and it does make it much easier then having to match up nails with hand partially done.
So you take each nail (says to leave thumb till last) remove the backing and press firmly in the middle then, work down the side of each nail. Continue this till all your nails are done.
The only other instruction is to refrain from water contact for 30 minutes.
So very simple and here is the finished results.

I really love the finish and look of the nails, now i can only explain the feeling if your used to having false nails applied. They feel as good as gel or acrylics plus i don't have nasty glue showing or any feeling that they will come off. If anything they feel extremely secure. Plus i have spares for later in the week.

Now bearing in mind false nail kits cost just under £10 with all the fuss of glue then also having to polish them, if your lucky they last a day. These Impress nails have none of that mess nor need for polishing. You can by all means add nail art but then i would buy the ones with designs.
This press on manicure took me 10 minutes. They look professional and feel lovely. So next time I'm after false nails i will buy these instead of a traditional stick on glue set.

Have you tried Impress nails ?

Where have i been ?
