Having long hair means using loads of product's and hair ties. I too stock up on the hair ties i know wont pull, dent or damage my hair. Plus wont break by the sheer volume of hair I have when im out, leaving me with an unruly head of hair.

I have curly long hair which when need's tying back or overnight to help prevent huge knots. I also have an array of wigs which i use Mi Ti's for, as i know the hair will not become tangled or damaged. As wigs are not cheap. 

In my latest lookbook photos you can see how i used the red & blue version. This shows up really well on how they look when using within your hair. They are simple to use and easily removed with no hair's getting matted or damaged. 

Im loving all the bright colours to co-ordinate them with my outfit and keep my long hair up. These Mi Ti's also do not kink my hair if i straighten it, which takes a while as my hair is very curly. If you find they are becoming mis-shapened or loose you only need drop them in hot water, I will be trying this when they do shop signs of give. So thats a real lifesaver to anyone whom uses and breaks hairbands frequently. As my hair is thick and curly, hairbands snapping is a real issue and having to carry spare's. Mi Ti's eliminated my need to carry spare's or worry about breaking when i go to tie my hair back. Im a huge fan of this hair-tie and think they are great long lasting, efficent and colourful range.

La Roche posay - Anthelios Invisible 50SPF oil with Escentual.com

La Roche posey finally did the impossible. So with Summer finally here we are all cracking out the sunscreen and oils that protect our skin from the suns obvious damage.

They say :

Protect your skin with the La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Invisible Nutritive Oil SPF50+, a lightweight, nourishing oil for the face and the body. The oil provides very high UVA-UVB protection for all skin types, even for skin that is sensitive and intolerant to the sun. With its non-sticky, invisible satin finish, it's both comfortable to wear and moisturising. Added La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water soothes and calms the skin. Apply liberally before sun exposure to both the face and the body, and reapply after swimming or towelling in order to maintain protection.

Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, paraben-free, water resistant.

May sound odd to use an oil but with this being factor 50SPF that in sunscreen is like wallpaper paste. Believe me I know and rubbing in the higher SPF can be just tiresome. So with this oil its very light and absorbs very quickly leaving no sticky nor harsh feeling like your caked in product.

I've judged this being that I'm of a skin tone that's quite lucky, in that I can use the littlest SPF and I mean 2 or none and not burn. I am not incouraging this just saying that I would use this and it would more then less be a oil consistency.

So I hope you can see below the texture of the oil and what the result is when its rubbed in, which is virtually nothing. I would not use this with children and even if a product says its waterproof, in this heat keep reapplying. It really absorbs very quickly and not of a residual texture at all. So that is why i say if using this be careful during those important hours of 12-3pm and drink plenty of water. As you could easily forget anything has been applied. 

I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again if I was going away or recommending this to anyone needing higher SPF and hating the rigorous creams. My husbands very fair and has not burned at all where as by now he would be like Chrispy bacon in pain.

Summer essentials

So summer is finally here (touch-wood) and whilst i spent last week hooked to a drip i had my essentials in my bag with me and well i will show you what i will be taking with my in hospital during my surgery. As while yes i wont be doing makeup as i know i wont have hands free to hold a brush or rub in foundation i will have essentials with me. 

So my makeup babies will have to stay home without me :O( 

So my first essential is my personal made bag that i adore and she comes with me everywhere now.

She is always packed with my iPhone, cosmetic bag with girls essentials, clothes and just boredom killers. In my case thats books, puzzles and iPhone check-ins with Facebook and twitter. 

Second essentials for summer are defiantly books, lip-balm and colour .

I love to read historical books, lip balms as i get such dry lips and colour of summer just makes everyone so happy and the moods lifted so high. The heat might not be for everyone but just enjoy with what ever you can and family BBQ's where possible.  

Summer calls for a bit of colour to my iphone 4s so i jazzed them up with these bird cute earphones for when I'm out and cannot wear earrings. These certainly make a talking point when I'm on my way to my appointments.
