Illamasqua - Fundemental palette

I will defiantly not deny my love for illamasqua products due to the amazing diversity of there range. They set themselfs apart from the rest and for this have come to be known for amazing quality. This palette just shows how diverse by putting different textures inside a palette that some people may not be used to using.

They say
Experiment with contrasting textures, from glistening Liquid Metal in molten pewter to matt Cream Pigment in mint green, to express every inch of you alter ego. Coupled with two vibrant Powder Eye Shadows in Hype (bold yellow) and Inception (rich violet), prepare for unparalleled levels of nonconformity

From a liquid metal to a cream shadow then two shadows. The silver is a liquid metal, Along with the green being a beautiful cream eyeshadow but not with shimmer and the perfect medium to pull these colours together or a base to a vibrant look.
I don't believe there should be rules with makeup. Experiment and play around, obviously there are some pointers I would use if going out but in the privacy of your own home... Go wild. This is the beauty of make-up, it gives you that freedom to grab these colours and be free to experiment plus without a compromise on quality. It's pigments and blending are second to none, so if your new please utilise YouTube makeup artists tutorials as I'm no makeup artist and not claiming to be.

I love makeup and experiment as much as possible with my looks. I'm just so glad I can use colours of this quality and a lovely range to make it so easy to work with. I'm venturing more into artistic work and being more experimental so I hope this shows.

I will show you all I can on pigmentation, lasting and application to my level and believe me, I've hit some major levels in my time lol as you who know my goth era will no doubt pull a few gems out.
Confidence is key if you want to rock a hot yellow... Then life gives you one chance and believe me its all in good fun. Be free and dare to be bold if its calling you, Neons are just holding the season and with autumn/fall,
muted reds and neutrals coming back to go with the beautiful season of autumn. So make use if the time left.

Also I have used the maybelline chromatics and I wish I knew these were limited edition and can I ask the question no ones asking... WHY maybelline ??? WHY ??? But that's another review.

So back to this palette the pigments are amazing, blendable and just amazing. My kind of palette totally and if the yellow looks scary, then its a fabulous colour to pop golds and bronze colours lightly blended underneath as a base. I've found so if your looking for bold illamasqua is your shop to go.
If unsure then go in as I'm sure the lovely staff will give you all the help you need.

Two Faced - Pretty rebel palette Review

I wont lie this brand has evaded my experience in trailing, as I've just never been too taken on any release I've seen, However in saying this when this little beauty hit the USA i was hooked to every YouTube review going.  I've never been so spoilt in my life but wow I'm just blessed to have not only beautifully kind and amazing comforts as my friends, generosity goes beyond saying with this gift.  I'm so thankful to my friends.

They say
Even pretty girls break the rules. Be as rebel as you want to be with 10 powerful after-hours approved (and all new) shadows in the deepest jewel tones, the most bad ass metallics and one scene-stealing pink. The Pretty Rebel Eye Shadow Palette comes in an extraordinary range of 10 new shades in stunning, high pigment formulations for rich colour payoff. Pretty Rebel comes with our signature how-to Glamour Guide with three beauty looks to get you started.

New Shades:

  • Girly
  • Charming
  • Dainty
  • Gangsta
  • Instigator
  • Jailbird
  • Totally Fetch
  • Ringleader
  • Miss Sparkles
  • Badass

This is a limited edition palettes from two faced and should be some available still.
The packaging is beautiful and well designed, plus the logo "pretty rebel" just made me drool and watch others use it.

However my amazing friend sent me
this as a lovely gift and I'm so grateful to her as she is amazing and we both are as bad as each other. As in we all have a rebel in us with makeup (if that's your vice) and well she's my pretty rebel.

So here are the swatches and as you can see the colours are amazing. Very pigmented, and the shimmer shades are so creamy and don't crease. They almost feel like a cream shadow. I adore them so much as the amount of looks you can achieve with this palette is amazing.

This one look alone was Girly (3rd up shade left side) its a mix of green, brown and golden. I do hope two faced do these as singular as I will cry if I hit pan on the shade. It's really unique. Plus all of them apply like butter and also you would think wow chunky glitter, however its far from it. I will be looking more into two faced products and palettes, after this experience its a fantastic product.
The quality is excellent, from the shadows to the presentation. It's unique in the colours as I don't see these other then pigments. The fall out is minor so I use a little bit of paper tape, this is my way of testing for fallout and how excessive it will be.

So this review is thanks to an amazing and supportive friend and lady I call sister as we share so much and just, a huge thank you xx

Vivo cosmetics

So there is no surprise that its budget July. I love my cosmetics so much that I go a tad crazy and yes I know its 50% at the minute so I'm trying to be good but nope I can't stay away.  I was kindly sent some products to review by Vivo and oddly my friend had sent me 3 she saw in Tesco ,she thought I would like so I was over the moon. I really think I've stumbled onto a new favourite brand. Plus affordable and high quality.

So I was really kindly sent these products and I'm so impressed that I really am wondering why do I crave high end so much ? Yes high end packaging will suck you in but really with even myself budgeting, why not have one treat and get a few items of quality from vivo. The Baked blush is lovely in a cinnamon glow with hints of peachy pink and golden tones. I love that you can use these blushes to give a light hint of glow or built to a real standout colour.  Lovely for the summer and a natural look. Pigment is fantastic and offers a lovely alternative to Skin-finish. Im defiantly going to be getting all of these when they are back in stock.

Then the "Show me the money palette" wow, pigmented and applies buttery with little fallout. They are online for £1.99 at the minute and i would purchase them all and now I'm kicking myself i didn't get the enchanted when i ordered the Artist palette. As the looks you can create with such pigmented and lovely colours is wonderful, they are shimmery but blend well together, the quick look i did below was simply using the pinks of the palette.Yet they merge into a beautiful look. Brilliant for any budget.
I was sent there bronzer in Golden days. Firstly "OMG how big is this bronzer?" Perfect for holiday to use as a body bronzer but also to give that healthy glow you wish to have. I would also use this to give any if my powder products a bit of a lift, if I wanted to make a matte product have a little sparkle then a touch of this would help give a little definition. Its well worth the £4 price tag and its 50% off at the minute.

Defiantly a product that can be built upon but so big I wouldn't carry this in my purse. However the baked bronzers are and offer just as much pigment, plus I have heard them being compared to skin finish by mac and honestly they are soft, give a great colour finish and look amazing. I would buy these now as they give the same effect. I'm now thinking save your money tara, buy vivo which is just as good, offers a great range of colour and feels good on the skin too.

Look i created with the show me the money palette

Now my friend sent me a bronzer, blush and eyeshadow. Which have been her favourites and then another friend said try the duo blush and highlight as she had said these were her monthly favourites. So I saw the pigment in the eyeshadow and was over whelmed by how beautiful it was. This just screamed look-book to me.  So with the bronzer and blush swatches I had been wanting to use my collection. When my Artist palette arrives i will be doing more of a look as it has facial powder inside as well as a more neutral base of colour i would use. So we will be seeing more of Vivo over the month of July. Below is the sun kiss baked bronzer she sent me.

If your on a tight budget or you want to save up but need a monthly fix of some makeup like me then take a look at Vivo. You won't be disappointed. Im actually kicking myself that i didn't order more then the artist palette as i should have ordered the eyeliners and other palettes to do looks with. However deals always come around and i will be grabbing the facial products next time.
However for now if you haven't picked up anything in the 50% sale ... what are you waiting for ?

La Colours - StarGaze Palette in Make out

So I've not heard much about La Colours until my friend and makeup "soul buddy" told me about them. She had recently tried some of the palettes and said the pigment and texture was amazing for an affordable brand. So I thought lets go back to being budget conscious and check out some makeup when you want a treat, but need to watch the purse. So the palette has 16 rectangular pans of colour with metallic shades being most prominent. This palette is called the Star-gaze and I know there is a neutral palette doing the rounds on YouTube.

There ethos is -

Our research & development team continues to expand the line with innovative products, brought to you in trendsetting colors and styles. By expanding the L.A. COLORS® line we continue to add strength and dignity to the L.A. COLORS® brand. At the same time, the marketing department works side by side with management to keep pricing low and quality high, therefore, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

COLORS® have been making superior cosmetics establishing a name in beauty industries all around the world. We look forward to serving you at all levels of commerce in the near future.

So when you open it the colours are embossed with little diamonds. It comes with a sponge applicator and they look like amazing colours on first impression. Apparently there are 3 in this range, this being Make-out then there is Admire and Contemplate. I would also love the block palette in Design.

Now what I didn't expect was how soft these shadows are as I nearly took a chunk out of the top left blue one, when attempting swatches. This took a little run of my finger to get this payoff and its so butter to the texture that I was in shock. As you can see above the colour is very pigmented and shows true to pan . There is alot of golden and bronze tones to help add a little hint of zing to that daily look you may have. Just a dab of this and your good to go. It also blends like a dream. They are very shimmery and some shades because of the texture being so soft can fallout a little. I found a little fan brush just took that away or tape to catch the little fallout. Also if you do press too hard then some chalkiness may happen, but now I'm used to the pressure needed thats not an issue no more.

This palettes colours will not make you look disco at all and the glitter is kept to the blending you do and also with a good primer will stay as well. I'm so very impressed with these shadows that if you come across a palette in your travels, swatch that particular one and see if the pigment payoff is as good.  I've heard a few can be hit and miss so this Is why I say try before if you can. But the Star-Gazer defiantly gets a thumbs up in my book and has been used a lot in my looks this week. So keep an eye out for it. It will be listed in my what i use lists and will show the true pigments and blend ability.

Have you seen La Colors or used any of there products ?

Where have i been ?

Many of us use makeup as we have a passion or or it is nessesity of our daily life. For me it is a mixture of things. It is one of those ...
