LoveMebeauty - Dec 2013

So lovemebeauty is the most amazing box i have subscribed too. It offers the choice to the subscriber of which box you wish to receive each month, so that you are not left with products you wont use. There is a equal amount of love for makeup brands and skincare. There will always be 2-3 products that wont change within each box then the last 2 will change to meet different needs. There are also perks to gain new samples within each months box, surveys, friend referrals etc. Amazing decent sized samples to gain an accurate feeling of how a product works for you.

Contents of the box ;
S5 - Restore cream
Rodial - Glamtox day
Lord and Berry - Intensity Lipstick in "Glazed Pink"
Lord and berry - Lipliner in Romantica
Headline colours - Quicksand colour
Extra sample of Essential care - Facial wash

I really love that they do give you the options between 4 boxes. So you can have the option of products you would use, then you can be safe knowing what you will receive is too your needs.

So this month the staple products within the box were the Lord and berry products plus the Nail polish. The nail polish was a lovely neutral brown colour along with the lipstick being a natural colour. As with the party season i usually will go with a heavy eye look then a light lip colour. The Romantica pencil gives the lip a lovely plum pink look. As with all neutral colours you can have the option to jazz them up.

So then we come to the extra products within the box that i choose. Which would be the S5 restore cream, which i did choose because within the winter my skin needs that hydration. All helps hydrate and i do need a hydrating skincare within this season. It was a nice treat to be given such a high end skincare to use.

Then the second item came again from a high-end skincare brand. Rodial glamdox day can be used as a primer and also highly praised within the makeup artist world. It can also be used as a regular skincare item for plumping and hydrating purposes also preventing hydration loss.

So im really impressed with this box as it has a great balance of skincare with makeup for this festive season. Plus what i love most is that your given the option of choice with this box. So no nasty surprises or items that don't meet your needs. I cant wait too see what 2014 brings, however i would love to see more brands added to trial. As the sample sizes are fantastic and also cater for a wide range plus a very nice treat with high end skincare brands included.

Love me Beauty - September 2013 Menu

So what was Beautcobox.com is now Love me beauty and i will admit i was dubious but wow nope they are still offering above average offerings of products to trial with the same chance to pick your box from 3 options.

They say

And we strive to ensure ours has the lowest possible impact on the world around us.  That’s why every box that arrives at your door is 100% recyclable.  We even measure the carbon impact of each of our packs, and always live by the following rules:
Less is more: use as little material as possible per box
Old is new: go for as much recycled and recyclable material as possible
Carbon is bad: deliberately avoid high carbon materials
(Don’t worry – we make sure our packaging protects your products just as much as it does our planet!)

Contents :
Anatomicals - No bags allowed eye gel
  Murad -  Osmolyte Tonic
Essential care - Lip care balm
Artdeco - Eyeshadow primer
Matriskin - Vitamin C Serum

So i know the Anatomicals brand and I've not had a great experience with the products I've had before but i will give anything a try and will use this. I think its only fair to try a product then just tar a brand by a few not to my taste products.

Also i know essential care and i love the Lip balm as i go through lip balm like its going out of fashion over winter, so i gladly took another one into the stash. So well stocked for winter and natural brand i really like is brilliant. This essential care brand is really good for any skin especially if you want to go natural, so i really enjoyed the light moisturiser in a previous beauty box and have sachets i take with me to hospital when i go. So i know it wont irritate my skin and reliable.

So with this box you may think its not looking much, but believe me that little bottle of Matriskin serum you see itself is worth £40 so thats the box over and above paid for. Now your thinking why is there no Nip and fab product ? Well honestly i don't use leg products bar a razor as ok news to the blog, a first time announcement. Im a amputee and have one leg so having a leg product goes to no use, i explained this to Love me Beauty and i can say the best customer service ever as they offered me a selection of products they had left and i could replace the nip and fab. I loved the ArtDeco primer so i defiantly wanted a backup for the one i use.

Murad spritz is a great addition to the mix as with winter and blemishes, cold and bugs floating around what better then reliable brand to help nourish and keep your skin as in good condition it can be.
This Osmolyte tonic is the perfect refresher to the skin.

I really love this box so much, its natural and offers an amazing value for money. I love that i have a choice of 3 boxes each month as not everyone likes the same things but there is a box there I've never not liked nor had the option given to me to skip the month or trade one product for a choice of another. Thats customer service the bigger brands need to listen to and watch as Love me Beauty i hope continues to rise and meet the competitors as they will be given a shock.
So if they can get more natural brands on board then i will be defiantly enjoying the ride to see and try quality samples, as so far I've not had a bad box.

Come on natural brands !! sign up to this box and promote your products as its really being enjoyed from what i can tell by its subscribers.

Miss Glossybox - Sept/October 2013

Now I don't subscribe to glossybox anymore as the difference in quality between one person and the next was in my regard unfair. To have a palette in one box then give another a box full of sample well... That didn't sit well with me.
However I enjoyed my miss glossybox as it was only £10 incl postage every 2 months. Plus all the contents were the same for each subscriber. Now you may think why subscribe to a box aimed at a teen market. Well honestly I like the offerings of new makeup brands for a affordable price and what they offer.

So the September/October box
Contents were -

BeautyUK - pout pencil
NYC - nail polish
Katy Perry's - killer queen perfume
Compact mirror with free album
Jessie's girl - kohl pencil
NYC - nail art
Skinetica - blemish treatment

Now I'm aware of skinetica as a brand and think it is good but maybe just as a point treatment and the sample is good for trial to see of it works.

I love the new Katy perry fragrance - Killer queen as it's just my sort of fruity lovely scent and reminds me a lot of my lady gaga and guerlain le petit noir robe.
Both have similar base notes, just I noticed this scent like lady gaga doesn't last a long time, but then I can smell hints  where its settled down. So I'm glad I received this perfume as I may invest in a bottle.

The BeautyUK was as always a quality affordable makeup product and brand I've come to love. The colour was certainly to my taste being a light pinky lavender, however some may not like the tinged this pout has. But compared to all the others swamping the market I think BeautyUK gives a good product with pigment and lasting colour.

Now the only issues I have are minor and just because I've had beauty boxes a long time. I don't like nail polish at all especially red. I always get red and I was glad of the silver art polish to accompany this as it seemed like a way to get a little festive now. So not hugely impressed but they made the effort not to just fling a polish willy nilly again.

Then the compact which was a great idea as had a album entailed of a new artist I'm assuming but being a rocker of a woman and well set in my ways. I gave this item to someone whom would appreciate it more.

The Jessie's girl pencil I'm going to do a review on as I'm not sure if this is the said and acclaimed Jessie's girl everyone's raving about in the blog world. (I'm kinda thinking this isn't but just a brand that's got the same name, different logo etc )
So I will get back to you with this item and what I find on it.

All in all I really like the miss glossybox and it's always sold out for good reason. If you have a teen this is the perfect little set up to give them an opportunity to experience products that don't break the bank. For me its a glossybox with fairness which is what I think they should do with all the boxes. It's gotten no complaint on the site like I've seen the monthly box get and its a major reason in my eyes why this box sells out, yet they still have mountains of unsold monthly boxes to do special offers with.
So yes I liked the contents and can't wait for the Christmas edition.

Where have i been ?
