We want every person affected by breast cancer to get the best treatment, information and support.

What we do 

We combine the personal experiences of people affected by breast cancer with clinical expertise, using this in a unique way to: 

provide information and offer emotional and practical support 

bring people affected by breast cancer together 

campaign for improvement in standards of support and care 

promote the importance of early detection.

How we work

We focus our work on the unique experience of each individual affected by breast cancer.

We involve people with breast cancer in all that we do.

We use our understanding of the emotional and practical issues facing people affected by breast cancer alongside our clinical expertise.

The Breast Health Promotion team offers a specialist UK-wide, year-round service. This provides a range of initiatives aiming to improve early detection of breast cancer. For example, workshops, training and opportunities for volunteers to deliver the breast awareness message. We prioritise women at high risk of breast cancer and people with poorer breast cancer awareness, leading to higher risk of delayed presentation and low uptake of screening.

Breast Cancer Care is committed to improving the treatment, support and 

care of people affected by breast cancer. Our campaigning work is guided and informed by the views and experiences of people living with breast cancer. 

One of those campaigners working towards helping Breast cancer care is Leighton denny. Master of nail art and polish among other things. Within the whole month of October Leighton is donating 20% of every product sold through his site.

Leighton is also a fervent and proud supporter of Breast Cancer Care, and has continued to collaborate with them on initiatives for all his product ranges. I am proud to support Breast Cancer Care, the charity that makes a difference by helping people across the UK whose lives are touched by breast cancer.Says Leighton

How to check your breasts :

There’s no right or wrong way to check your breasts for any changes. Try to get used to looking at and feeling your breasts regularly. You can do this in the bath or shower, when you use body lotion, or when you get dressed. There’s really no need to change your everyday routine. Stila - Positively Pink Breast cancer awareness Products 2013

So again another beautiful addition to the breast cancer awareness month of October from Stila. 

This beautiful blush is just divine, with the ribbons being the highlight shimmer to the colour when applied so you can build this up. Its a beautiful lightly dusky pink and just amazing payoff for a healthy glow look. It's meant to just add to the natural colour you have and in that sense it's just a blush to have for everyday use and who wouldn't want this in there bag to showcase for support to a wonderful cause?

So it's proudly in my makeup bag for this month and again unless stipulated it will be the blush I will be using in all my looks this month. 

So the colour is "Positively pink" bringing forth the message to everyone that this is a cancer that does have a lot of support and positive actions in place to help beat this form of the disease. We all should be positive in the life we own but also adopt the choice to check our breast's or have the dr check if any way you are worried. If you don't know how to check then I have linked on every page the breast cancer website which has a in depth how to check yourself checklist. The products go to funding this amazing charity but if by spreading the message of checking ourselfs helps save life's then we should encourage in chats between girlfriend and also partners.

Thank you too stila for again supporting this cause by bringing a beautiful inspired blush to the table and also helping fund a brilliant cause. We have amazing cosmetic support and it's just something we should recognize that I know these companies take time to produce a product to aid donations.

So as October has drawn in and quite to my surprise we all are on the topic of breast cancer awareness. Now having known and the most amazing figure of a woman to look up too in my life, whom has suffered from this deadly form of cancer. She never fails to inspire me to be as strong as she is and that's why I'm so passionate about raising awareness. 

So this month :

Last year, hundreds of thousands of you got together, put on something pink and raised over £2.1 million to fund breast cancer research. But sadly, one in eight women will still be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. So I was lucky enough to be given a chance to show you the Matthew Williamson contribution in collaboration with Nails inc.

I will of course be making a donation, as to mark my thanks and also so that I can contribute my portion.

Its a lushious pink sparkle that on one coat comes off as opaque as in the bottle, it dries fast and is no less a polish that nails inc. is known for. The quality is outstanding and also can be built up in layers if you want that bling bling but really two coats is all you will need.

It's fairly chip resistant and more has a new formula where it peels off then chips, as I found with glitters they can be a aweful time and as difficult to remove as acrylics at times.

This luckily when you remove just peels off in one and I will use my nail cream and then redo my nails. It's no major issue and ones of the most plesant glitters I have in my collection.
