My first Degustabox and i have to say October has me hooked and November sign up here i come. Have a look why this box is not like your usual subscription box.

They say :

Enjoy 9 to 14 surprise products, many are completely new to the market. Receive your Degustabox every month filled with goodies. All for much less than you would pay in the shops.
Sign up: Only £12.99 inc. delivery.

So this first box you have to get to the bottom of the box for the card. Which i didnt mind much, as hey i got to see the goodies.

Special K : Cracker crisps (£1.29) in flavour barbecue.

Now perfect for the bonfire season, i however love barbecue flavour. So these will be demolished.
Taste : They taste amazing and light, full of barbeque flavour. They are not scrimping on the flavour and dont taste overly healthy. They are light and ive found a handful is enough to snack on. As the flavour is so intense i drank alot of water.

Brioche Pasquier : Pain au lait with choc chips (£1.60) & Brioche loaf (£1.69) supplied.

Pain au lait : Tastes amazing and just like the beautiful french addition. Again i needed just one and it was sufficent to fill my sweet craving. Beautifully made and just enough to chocolate.
Brioche loaf : Is lovely toasted sweet tasting bread. Now you can make desserts or add some sweetness to spicy meals. I found sweet bread can cut the chilli to make the flavour intense. Like raisins adding sweetness to nan bread. This can be a lovely alternative.

Get Buzzing: Flapjack (£1.30) is a beautiful snack.
It really was very filling, i struggled to finish it. I will next time cut this bar into 2 portions. I love healthy snacks.
Bear : Paws fruit snacks (£0.55) & a sample of Alphabites cereal.
Alphabites Cereal : is amazing and tastes really wholesome. Has a light honey taste with a filling balance of wholegrains. Great for kids with the design's. I really lovely this cereal.
Paws fruit snack : is a lovely nutritious snack, with just the right amount per pack. Plus with the natural sweetness from the fruit, this is perfect for those whom need to watch there sugar intake. I will be looking into more Bear products, as i found just sucking one gives you that distraction from feeling hungry.

Jelly Belly : (£2.50) Over 200 flavours, your bound to find one you like.
Are really fun and tasty sweets. I love fruity sweet flavours and again, i really only found i needed a few.
Solo : Toasted Marshmallow (£1.99) creme whip.
Is the most addictive item in this months box. Ive used this in a dessert and the smooth spread is just so tasty. Ive had to hold back and resign myself to having it with my weekly treat.

Dr Oetker : Premium 90% dark chocolate (£2.49) & Fine dark (£1.89) cocoa powder.
Dark chocolate : Is not really my taste, however it was lovely drizzled on dessert. My husband loves dark chocolate, so tasted it in raw form. He said it was rich and great quality he would purchase again.
Dark cocoa powder : Is lovely dusted over any dessert. We have made hot chocolate from the powder with milk. Its so rich and there is alot of powder in one sachet. It really is a product for multi uses.

Enhance Drinks : (£2.49) Orange & Passionfruit flavour
Is an amazing flavour and i prefer this too just plain orange. The tiny concentrated container is perfect for me. Going in hospital alot, not wanting huge bottles. This is perfect to refil a small water bottle with. Will be investing in more flavours.
Kent's Kitchen : (£2.50) Bengali kit included
I have not used this curry as yet. (We will be using this kit, with week chicken). It has oil, spices and coconut with the sauce provided. I think there is alot of oil, in the pot. It is a perfect amount of sauce for 2 portions.
Blue Dragon : (£1.39 for 2) Sweet chilli sauce
I love this sauce to accompany any dish or even raw vegtables. A small little amount can turn a once boring snack, into something with a bit of flavour. Not too spicy either.

Degusta fridge : Benecol
Yogurt voucher which can be used in any supermarket. Cant wait to try this brand because of the health benefits. I want too see how they compare to the normal yogurts sold with no added benefit.
This is one of the most amazing boxes I've had the pleasure to review. It gives you a chance to try new foods and experiment. We have a pretty straight forward diet and can stick to the same foods. My husband's the cook in our house, he is not afraid of new recipes. Which is good as then we can try the box for new ingredients, we would have never thought too before. My husband made a dessert that we will be showing in a separate post.

I have a discount coupon code, which gives my readers a £3.00 discount when registering. My code is: 4HLU8. Using the social media links provided, what do you think of degustabox ? Use the @degustaboxUK.

Diane von Fürstenberg : 31 December 1946 (age 67) Brussels, Belgium

Diane von Furstenberg first entered the fashion world in 1972 with a suitcase full of jersey dresses. Two years later, she created the wrap dress, which came to symbolize power and independence for an entire generation of women. By 1976, she had sold over a million of the dresses. DVF has expanded to a full collection of ready-to-wear and accessories including shoeshandbags, small leather goods, scarves, and fine jewellery. The company also offers luggage, eyewear, and home furnishings.

Diane's commitment to empowering women is expressed not only through fashion but also philanthropy and mentorship. In 2010, with the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation, Diane established the DVF Awards to honor and provide grants to women who have displayed leadership, strength and courage in their commitment to their causes. In 2012, Diane was named the most powerful woman in fashion by Forbes Magazine.

"I didn't know what I wanted to do, but I always knew the woman I wanted to be" Diane Von Furstenberg.

So the first item in the box is this beautiful brooch. Its ruby red lips can be used to jazz up the most dullest of days or outfits. I cannot wait to find a suitable time to wear it. A wonderful addition to my collection. Also i do love the cards included with beautiful quotes, I keep these incase i ever feel the need to lift the spirits of a friend.

Along with the beautiful brooch and illustration, there was this beautiful packet included. Whatever could be included ? Why my my .... A tres chic scarf. Mine was the black and white version. Also within the envelope, it shows you many ways in which to use the scarf. All of which are amazingly innovative.

Then to top the box off, you revieve a lovely well polished magazine. This little beauty box from paris, is an amazing addition to subscription boxes.

I cant wait for my next edition to arrive.

Memebox : Halloween edition

So October is a definatly a month of Memebox's. I have a few more on the way, so in the meantime. Im going to show you the Halloween box, which has arrived in time for dressing up. Gothic looks at the ready and lets see what we can achieve with this box.

Contents
Revecen : Liquid Lipstick Blood
- Elizavecca : Lip tattoo
- Lalanc : Tattoo sheets
- Revecen : Foundation (Shade 100 white)
- Revecen : Cake eye liner (Black)
- Revecen : Lining colour (Purple)
- Revecen : Eye lashes (No.6)

- Elizavecca : Lip tattoo is a new product to me. I confess my last try with lip tattoo's (Violent lips) was long and messy. So i hope these will hopefully adhere better and give me a positive experience.

- Lalanc : Tattoo sheets are right up my alley. I love tattoo's and think these transfers are great fun for halloween. They have adult designs but also they can be used, by the whole family if you wish. I cant see any offensive ones visable.

- Revecen : Foundation (Shade 100 white) is a cream foundation that can be warmed and used for costume makeup. Or it can be used to lighten a darker foundation. Its tacky on application but sets with a powder.

- Revecen : Cake eye liner (Black) is a water activated makeup product. Where you use a wet brush, then take the product to your thumb joint to control and remove excess. As with it being black you dont want to apply this without first checking the consistancy, texture and ease of use. So i always just check first how much water i need, to gain a opaque nice gel consistancy.

- Revecen : Lining colour (Purple) is again another water activated product. This is meant for body painting or art, this again does not need much water. These paints are so pigmented. That you risk washing the colour down, by soaking the paint cake. So i tend to go from one corner and then re-use that area, rather then move around. Plus i allow them to dry out completely, i just cover with a muslin to prevent any contamination by dust etc. Great for halloween.

Revecen : Liquid Lipstick Blood : There's no need to purchase a bottle of fake blood, this Lipstick in blood colour.  It can be used for creating a bloody lip, blood from your eyes, mouth or for a fake scar. Very intriguing product and i cannot wait to use it.

- Revecen : Eye lashes (No.6) are beautiful and dramatic. They look like cob webs and very spidery. So i could use these for a spider queen look.

This box is fantastic and i can think of so many looks to do with this. Zombie, Spider queen, biker chick, vampire etc endless possibilities.

Breast cancer awareness month

We want every person affected by breast cancer to get the best treatment, information and support.

What we do
We combine the personal experiences of people affected by breast cancer with clinical expertise, using this in a unique way to:
provide information and offer emotional and practical support
bring people affected by breast cancer together
campaign for improvement in standards of support and care
promote the importance of early detection.

How we work

We focus our work on the unique experience of each individual affected by breast cancer.

We involve people with breast cancer in all that we do.

We use our understanding of the emotional and practical issues facing people affected by breast cancer alongside our clinical expertise.

The Breast Health Promotion team offers a specialist UK-wide, year-round service. This provides a range of initiatives aiming to improve early detection of breast cancer. For example, workshops, training and opportunities for volunteers to deliver the breast awareness message. We prioritise women at high risk of breast cancer and people with poorer breast cancer awareness, leading to higher risk of delayed presentation and low uptake of screening.

Breast Cancer Care is committed to improving the treatment, support and

care of people affected by breast cancer. Our campaigning work is guided and informed by the views and experiences of people living with breast cancer.

One of those campaigners working towards helping Breast cancer care is Leighton denny. Master of nail art and polish among other things. Within the whole month of October Leighton is donating 20% of every product sold through his site.

Leighton is also a fervent and proud supporter of Breast Cancer Care, and has continued to collaborate with them on initiatives for all his product ranges. I am proud to support Breast Cancer Care, the charity that makes a difference by helping people across the UK whose lives are touched by breast cancer.Says Leighton

    Dates for you diary :
    - Look good and do good in the fight against breast cancer by joining men and women across the country in taking part in our revamped pink fundraising event, wear it pink, on Friday 24 October.

How to check your breasts :
There’s no right or wrong way to check your breasts for any changes. Try to get used to looking at and feeling your breasts regularly. You can do this in the bath or shower, when you use body lotion, or when you get dressed. There’s really no need to change your everyday routine. Just decide what you are comfortable with and what suits you best. For more information and diagrams on how to check then follow this link how to check your breasts .

    Where have i been ?

Many of us use makeup as we have a passion or or it is nessesity of our daily life. For me it is a mixture of things. It is one of those ...
