Is a UK brand known for affordable and pigmented makeup. With there vast range of cosmetics, anything can be afforded for any look to be achieved. I cant wait to try these new additions to the makeup revolution collection.

Life is a box of…. Pick and mix for your eyes. You will want to try EVERY chocolate in the box! Mixture of mattes and shimmers.

So as you can see from the above swatches, the pigmentation is fantastic. The rich chocolate shades are complemented with additional shades of gold's, pink's and cream's. So many looks can be achieved with this palette. To either give shimmer to a night look or a flash of colour for a day wear. This palette is so versitile and enriching for eyes of all colours. Also the cream's can be used as a highlight for the cheeks. So you have alot in the palette, especially if your wishing to keep a travel bag light.

The shadows are light and blend easily, the above swatches are without primer. With primer they last all day with no creasing or fading. I used this palettefor christmas as it to me had so many options. It was hard to go with just one look. So i think i will have to showcase combinations of some looks each week. I would highly recommend this palette, for anyone needing some beautiful creamy neutral colours. I will be looking into buying more palettes to try.

This blush is amazing and the pigmentation is just so intense. You need to give the bottle a good shake prior to application. This ensures any shimmer is evenly distributed and also the colour. You only need the tiniest of drops to obtain such colour. It can be dotted onto the cheek and buffed out, or you can use the back of your hand. Either way the liquid is very fluid which makes it easy to buff into the skin to give a beautiful colour. I found it was very easy to blend and work into my contour. I found when i applied my powder highlight, this gave enough setting to not need a translucent powder. Again i cant fault this blush and it will last a very long time. Brilliant value.

The One blush stick - Malibu

Awesome Chucks of Our Finest Blusher in a Stick. Introducing the One Blush Stick, 4 Bold shades and 4 Matte Shades. Use strong and vibrant, or sheer. Designed for multiple use across Cheeks and Lips, use Dry for Hi-Intensity Colour or apply Wet for a smooth sheer finish.

Now i found this the ultimate versitile product. With many shades available for blush and lips, i wanted to try malibu to see how many uses i could achieve. The one use i did want this shade for, was as a easy to apply contour. To just apply a line and then buff in easily, i would do this with my cheek and jaw bones. I found this was very creamy and applied with such ease. Then using my angled powder brush i did strokes with very little product to obtain that sharp contour. Then using my powder brush using the left over translucent powder, do some circular buffing to set the cream in place. This again would be for my jaw line. 

I also would use this under my foundation to define even further if i needed too. Its so beautiful as a contour, also on a buffing brush can give a real bronzing glow of colour. Also i found if i took a little on a flat eyeshadow brush, it could be a lovely primer especially if paired with the "I love chocolate" palette. So this product is really versatile, im sure it could be used for many more uses. 

Eyeliner in "Lustful ways"

Smudge proof eyeliner. Perfect line and intense pigment which is soft & creamy to apply. Long Wearing and smudge-proof with a luxurious formula. 

This beautiful eyeliner is an amazing green with an almost khaki hint to it. Application is so creamy and does not drag along lash line or waterline. It makes green eyes pop intensely and is a long wearing eyeliner that is so affordable. I will be looking into more colours to purchase. 

Makeup revolution has really impressed me with these products and i will be going back for seconds. They are affordable and also high quality. Each product has been well thought out for its use and can be versatile too if need be. The eyeshadows are of high quality being pigmented and soft with little fallout. The blush sticks and fluids are pigmented and can be used for more then one use on the facial area. The products are just so exciting that i am going to be trying more from them to expand my looks using there products. Above is using the products for my Christmas day look.

Essence products

So since Essence has become widely available in the UK, it has hit the ground running and become a hot set of products to have. So which Essence products should you be on the hunt for ? If your new to the brand then have a look at this affordable brand.

Quattro eyeshadow – Different textures ranging from silky shimmering to intensive shine ensure unlimited creativity with your eye make-up. perfectly aligned shades, excellent color-dispersion and long-lasting results make the quattro eyeshadow an absolute favourite.

So the Quattro eyeshadow quad is the only set of shadows I've yet to try from essence. I do think this set of shadows is very handy for travel and does give some good pigment. They are quite shimmery for a daily look, I found using the pink and cream shade mixed on the lid with the brown for the definition within the crease and V. Then all blended it makes for a beautiful eye with a multi dimensional shimmer but not overwhelming. The pearl shade is a beautiful highlight for your face, as i found its quite shimmery for the brow. This set is really handy and for the price is worth having, to have some good travel shadows.

Longlasting lipstick - is longlasting love, you simply have to fall in love with the longlasting lipsticks by essence. the lipsticks provide your lips with intensive color for several hours without drying them out. You're sure to find whatever you’re looking for from bright pink, intensive red, chilled-out berry to subtle nude shades. The essence logo on the texture and the matt, black packaging with a ring of color to match the actual color of the lipstick are true eye-catchers.

The essence lipstick's are really impressive for pigment and quality. This colour is natural beauty and it really is a stunning colour. It looks so pale in the bullet yet it is the most intense pink colour when applied. I was quite taken aback by this colour. Also the packaging is simple but chic, with a black casing and the imprint of the essence "e" on the lipstick. Im going to be checking out some more colours as these again are fabulous for anyone on a budget or wanting to experiment with brighter shades. 

Colour & go Nail polish : colour explosion, the huge colour & go range has the beloved gel-shine finish with a highly intensive shine and an extremely short drying time for perfectly polished nails in a flash! the patented quick & easy brush is particularly flat for an even easier application. The bottle has a cool essence design – with the usual colour-coded cap in the corresponding nail polish colour.

Nail polish I admit is not my favourite area of beauty as I have not done them any favours with my using of acrylics. However when i do try nail colours, I do want to spend affordably and get good quality. This polish shade is so rich and the curved angle of the flatter brush, made it easier to get a good coat on without needing to repeat and possibly streak the finish. The red colour is a rich pigment and lasted well without chipping then removed just as easily with a polish remover. It didn't leave any trace or stain. I really love this colour and i will invest in a few of my favourite colours from this range when the time comes. 

So again another set of beautiful products from essence that can be relied on and used in any environment. Lovely affordable brand that has some real star products and the ones above are testament to the quality available.

A low stimulating cleansing oil that clears blackheads and whiteheads for a clearer complexion. Formulated with olive oil, argan oil, and Harrogate water. This unique cleansing oil increases skin elasticity, regenerates new skin cells, heals scars and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent to soothe irritated skin. 

So quite a barrage of claims there from the Deep cleansing oil. Which i will gladly test as i have a multitude of scars. So to see any fading or skin healing, will be interesting to report back on. 

Aloe 99% soothing gel 

 99% aloe vera leaf extract from pristine Jeju Island. The soothing gel moisturizes and soothes the irritated skin. Direction: Take an appropriate amount and apply on the body. 

Aloe is well known for its properties in calming skin, thats been exposed to sun damage. So i cant see any reason why it wouldnt work on other areas of damaged  skin. 

Aqua petit jelly starter

  Pink jelly texture starter makes skin look transparent and luminous. It keeps skin moist and hydrated, helps makeup stay all day long. Directions : Use the spatula and take a moderate amount. Use after your basic skin care routine and before your makeup application.

So a primer that can be buffed into the skin first and give that flawless base. Also claiming to enhance and illuminate skin. Now for myself when my skin is super dry during winter, this could prove to be a fantastic product. I cant wait to try it. 

Sweet cotton pore cover powder

 Fine powder to fill in pores, giving soft skin texture finish. The Sugar helps to  moisturise rough skin, the cotton extract absorbs oil giving soft and silky skin. Lotus flower extract tighten pores, noni extract protect sensitive skin from external irritation. How to Use : Use puff to apply right amount onto face, tap gently on oily area.

Beautiful fine milled Powder with a soft puff to apply the powder. Perfect for oily to sensitive skins, also doesnt dry out skin or leave a cakey apperence.I like this powder and cant wait too use it more.

Heartful Moisture Lipstick 

 Lovely heart-shaped moisturizing lipstick with highly pigmented color. It melts on the lips, making each application smooth and easy. 

I recieved a stunning colour of this lipstick with its cute design. The lipstick is shaped like a beautiful heart. Definatly a show stopper when you pull it out of your bag. 

Jewel light shimmer eyes (SBR04 Yogurt) 

With one one touch bling-bling shining eyes.

This eyeshadow is a lovely golden colour. Perfect colour for highlighting and for doing a light look. Universally a great colour for every skin tone. Also can be blended with other shades, to add some shimmer and glamour. Glad i recieved this lovely shade. 

Jewel light waterproof eyeliner (06 Olive perridot)

Laden dust seems to glitter with dazzling jewels attractive colours. Colour Pencil features a powerful waterproof eyeliner.

I was hoping as i looked at the available colours, that i would get this olive green. As i have so many blacks and this colour is truely unique. The photo doesnt do it justice, yet to have as a pencil to finish a look. I would use this under eye to smudge out, or as my upper liner to enhance definition or a simple change from black. Rich and creamy consistancy with a high pigment level. 

Neon beam nails (03 Orange mood)

Is not a colour im fond of, however the polish consistency is lovely. It can be watery to most, however it does dry quickly. Just a shame the colour doesnt suit me. 

So another good box with many new and exciting products to try. I found the nail polish to be the one product, i may need to pass on. Its a tad too neon for myself. Other then that the products im very happy with and il use them.

So while we all love the beauty essentials, home appliances also are part of life. The most efficent kitchen appliances are what we all strive for. Quickness and also looking good with the kitchen esthetic is important. So how did our new Pepper/Salt grinder cope ?

This pepper mill offers a function in that it will grind pepper to 3 thickness'. Perfect as thicker pepper  grinding will be perfect for cooking and not burn within the pan. Then you can have a more fine grind of pepper on the table. The function is possible and defiantly a plus for anyone who loves to cook. It also gives you the control that most dispensers don't offer. You push the button to dispense the pepper  which will clearly give you a visual indication of how much you have added.

Ive loved this pepper mill as it looks professional within the kitchen, it saves with all the tapping on a bottle to have small quantities given. Its generally a time saver on all fronts, plus then you can bring this to the table. It looks amazing on the table and really does help anyone with sore joints. I would defiantly recommend this grinder to anyone looking for a stylish addition to your kitchen and  tableware.

So this month i have quite a few Memebox's to review. The first in this series are known for there amazingly cute packaging. Plus there apple shaped products. I cant wait to share them with you.

Is a very cute concept of using egg holders as storage. The soaps will lather up and give you a lovely fresh feeling. Enriched with keratin that will help rebuild damaged skin. Looking forward to seeing the effects of cleaning with these little eggs.

Beautifully presented lip balm that smells lovely. Lovely for travel as hydrating and it's smell size. I have so many beautiful lip balms and scrubs from memebox.

Panda's Dream White Cream 

Tonymoly Panda’s Dream White Cream is skin brightening and perfecting cream that locks in moisture and brightens dull complexions. This super nourishing cream will bring vitality back to skin while evening out the skin tone.Skin will feel soft and smooth after each application without the greasiness. The adorable panda packaging and the light fruity scent is an added bonus.

Cannot wait to try this cream as ive heard so many amazing reviews. Hopefully it will balance out my inperfection's. Then give me softer skin to apply my makeup. 

Appletox smooth massage peeling cream

Cream with keratin control, massage & moisture pack. Moist hydration type soft cream. Excellent keratin removal effects. Instant brightening effect. Usage : After daily cleansing, apply an appropriate amount onto the skin and gently massage in a circular motion. Once dirt particles appear, simply rinse off with lukewarm water. Recommended to use 1~2 times a week.

Ive not used a peeling cream before, if i was to choose one then this would be the one i would pick. Its packaging is very cute and can be re-used. Yet the products been given high praise. So im excited to try a peeling mask.

Luminous Aura Beam 

Tonymoly’s Luminous Goddess Aura Beam is a luminous gel type cream that adds supple, healthy glow to the skin, and minimizes the look of skin imperfections. Mixed with your favorite BB cream or used alone, this miracle product will help you achieve that infamous gorgeous Korean skin glow.

Ive had a sample of this Aura cream and it gives a lovely glow. I personally use this to allow my powder highlight adhere too. It makes my areas of highlight last vastly longer. So i would recommend this multi-tasking product. 

Black gel eyeliner (long brush)

Point eyeliner that makes your eyes distinct and gorgeous with vivid color. Before makeup, adjust the amount of eyeliner on the tissue and draw along eye-line. How to Use: Put on the colour on both side of brush. Spread the color quickly before it gets dry. Make sure the cap of eyeliner close tightly. 

I love gel eyeliner and ive heard this product is lovely. It applies easily and under control with the brush provided. The brush has a longer handle so this will be easier for those just starting to experiment with eyeliner.  

Delight tint neon crayon 

 A very bright and vibrant lip crayon. Its neon pink colour is enough to have anyone going OMG. I love bright colour so this was right up my alley.  Cannot wait to try this shade. 

Ive had a delight neon colour before in a previous box. Its a creamy lovely coloured chubby pencil. 

Really lovely box full of cutely packaged offerings from tony moly. I can't wait to use a lot of the products. The great thing about the packaging is when its finished you can depot another item into it. It truly is the most amazing packaging and i wish that it was more accessible in the UK. 

Nivea - Moisturisers and Lip butters

Nivea is a well loved and trusted brand. Known for there affordable yet high quality skincare. Its become the must have product during the winter for dry skin. Or if your like myself, then its a daily essential no matter the time of year. I have some amazing new additions to show you. 

The moisturising formula of NIVEA Lip Butter with Hydra IQ contains Shea Butter and Almond Oil and provides intense moisture and long-lasting care. The indulgent formula creates sensationally soft lips.

Beautifully presented tins of lip balm. Perfect for on the go and keeping within your handbag or pocket. They are a creamy balm on apperance. The little body heat in your finger, will melt this butter quick and lightly. Smooth and non grainy, perfect for lip preparation before lipstick application. Also helps keep lips supple and prevention of cracking. This is the holy grail of lip butter's.

When it comes to the scents, I found that they are so unique.

- Original : is a clear and fragrance free balm. Perfect unisex lip balm. 

- Blueberry blush : is just the most amazing  lipbalm that smells divine. I usually pick up the Vanilla and macadamia tin. However this will be a really hard choice now to pick from now on. 

- Vanilla & Macadamia : is like i said my favourite lip balm from Nivea. My handbag holy grail lip balm. I will be rotating my blueberry blush with vanilla & macadamia. Using vanilla & macadamia in the autumn and Blueberry blush for the spring and summer months. 

- Raspberry rose : is a lovely mix of fruity and slight floral. Taking from a beautiful spring fresh smells. 

Rich nourishing body moisturiser

We know that dry skin needs extra care, we developed this enriched formula containing Almond Oil. Too intensively moisturise and care for your skin. What does it do: Restores and replenishes lost moisture, enhances the skin's natural protective layer. The result : For best results apply daily, for a noticeable long-lasting improvement to your dry skin.

This has been a staple in my skincare routine. Its fantastic for the whole body and does enrich your skin. Eluminating dryness i found on my legs and face, especially after a shower. My legs can become rough, so after a final buffing away of the dead skin. I apply this moisturiser, where it absobs quickly. It gives a long lasting hydration and i havent experienced any side effects. So its become my go to trusted moisturiser.

Express Hydration body lotion 

We believe that it is good to care for your skin everyday, so we have developed  this sensationally light feeling formula containing Sea Minerals and blue lotus scent. Is a beautiful addition to Nivea's product range. I used this for when i needed a boost during the day. So areas like your elbows or knees etc, where the skin is constantly being in motion. This can offer  a instant boost to the skin and in my case, reduce the risk of my skin cracking.  Definatly fantastic for when your skin needs, a hydrating and quick absorbing cream. I would use this cream for my travel bag, as this will allow me to give boosts of hydration to my skin. Its quickly absorbed which allows me to apply some cream,so when in hospital i can see an area becoming dry due to the conditions. Again this is an addition from Nivea that will help me hugely. In maintaining soft skin within an enviroment i have no control over.

Smooth nourishing hand cream

A fast absorbing hand and nail cream that keeps hands beautifully smooth and soft. How? The improved formula with Hydra IQ supports the skin's own moisture supply, whilst Macadamia Nut Oil helps strengthen the skin's protection barrier. Proven result: Noticeably smoother, softer hands for longer.

Hand cream is lovely and gave my hands softness. Plus my nails improved vastly, as have my cuticule's. My nails have been stronger and its been in my handbag. My nails and first to be affected by the cold. So to have this on the go, is an essential. 

Irresistibly smooth body lotion : Dry skin shea butter  

For beautifully soft and silky skin. Regular use ensures that your skin feels smoother and softer. Longer lasting smoothness with hydra-IQ , gives a deep moisture and a long lasting feeling.  This smells beautiful and i found that it was best used after the shower. As when the pores are open it absorbs so well into my skin. It really does give a lovely long lasting feeling that your skin stays soft and hydrated. With no lingering stickiness and a calming aroma that gives your skin an amazing layer of hydration. Really helped on days where my skin needed more help.

So this first box you have to get to the bottom of the box for the card. Which i didnt mind much, as hey i got to see the goodies.

Special K : Cracker crisps (£1.29) in flavour barbecue. 

Now perfect for the bonfire season, i however love barbecue flavour. So these will be demolished.

Taste : They taste amazing and light, full of barbeque flavour. They are not scrimping on the flavour and dont taste overly healthy. They are light and ive found a handful is enough to snack on. As the flavour is so intense i drank alot of water.

Brioche Pasquier : Pain au lait with choc chips (£1.60) & Brioche loaf (£1.69) supplied. 

Pain au lait : Tastes amazing and just like the beautiful french addition. Again i needed just one and it was sufficent to fill my sweet craving. Beautifully made and just enough to chocolate. 

Brioche loaf : Is lovely toasted sweet tasting bread. Now you can make desserts or add some sweetness to spicy meals. I found sweet bread can cut the chilli to make the flavour intense. Like raisins adding sweetness to nan bread. This can be a lovely alternative. 

Get Buzzing: Flapjack (£1.30) is a beautiful snack. 

It really was very filling, i struggled to finish it. I will next time cut this bar into 2 portions. I love healthy snacks.

Bear : Paws fruit snacks (£0.55) & a sample of Alphabites cereal. 

 Alphabites Cereal : is amazing and tastes really wholesome. Has a light honey taste with a filling balance of wholegrains. Great for kids with the design's. I really lovely this cereal. 

Paws fruit snack : is a lovely nutritious snack, with just the right amount per pack. Plus with the natural sweetness from the fruit, this is perfect for those whom need to watch there sugar intake. I will be looking into more Bear products, as i found just sucking one gives you that distraction from feeling hungry. 

Jelly Belly : (£2.50) Over 200 flavours, your bound to find one you like. 

 Are really fun and tasty sweets. I love fruity sweet flavours and again, i really only found i needed a few. 

Solo : Toasted Marshmallow (£1.99) creme whip. 

 Is the most addictive item in this months box. Ive used this in a dessert and the smooth spread is just so tasty. Ive had to hold back and resign myself to having it with my weekly treat. 

Dr Oetker : Premium 90% dark chocolate (£2.49) & Fine dark (£1.89) cocoa powder.

Dark chocolate : Is not really my taste, however it was lovely drizzled on dessert. My husband loves dark chocolate, so tasted it in raw form. He said it was rich and great quality he would purchase again.  

Dark cocoa powder : Is lovely dusted over any dessert. We have made hot chocolate from the powder with milk. Its so rich and there is alot of powder in one sachet. It really is a product for multi uses. 

 Enhance Drinks : (£2.49) Orange & Passionfruit flavour

Is an amazing flavour and i prefer this too just plain orange. The tiny concentrated container is perfect for me. Going in hospital alot, not wanting huge bottles. This is perfect to refil a small water bottle with. Will be investing in more flavours. 

Kent's Kitchen : (£2.50) Bengali kit included  

I have not used this curry as yet. (We will be using this kit, with week chicken). It has oil, spices and coconut with the sauce provided. I think there is alot of oil, in the pot. It is a perfect amount of sauce for 2 portions. 

Blue Dragon : (£1.39 for 2) Sweet chilli sauce 

I love this sauce to accompany any dish or even raw vegtables. A small little amount can turn a once boring snack, into something with a bit of flavour. Not too spicy either. 

 

Degusta fridge : Benecol

Yogurt voucher which can be used in any supermarket. Cant wait to try this brand because of the health benefits. I want too see how they compare to the normal yogurts sold with no added benefit. 

This is one of the most amazing boxes I've had the pleasure to review. It gives you a chance to try new foods and experiment. We have a pretty straight forward diet and can stick to the same foods. My husband's the cook in our house, he is not afraid of new recipes. Which is good as then we can try the box for new ingredients, we would have never thought too before. My husband made a dessert that we will be showing in a separate post.
