My honest review of the Nail sets 

These nails are the stick on back ones that impress have released previously and I have loved them, unfortunately these nails did come off quicker then I expected them too. I would on the next application add a nail glue so the nails lasted a longer duration. I loved the design and the overall presentation of each design with the "Love" in calligraphy writing to be my favourite. 

I would love if the impress sets would come with the nail glue also so anyone whom is doing heavier duties wont loose the nails so easily. However in some cases I have noticed that some people have used the nails and had no issue. It is my personal opinion but I do feel that the sets would be miles better with the nail glue included as it lasts for a longer time period on my nail and I feel more fabulous when my nails look manicured with a design.

Kiss Acrylic Nail's

So its no secret that i love Kiss nails. I bit my nails since i can rembember and now i finally have growth, as let's be honest its not a pretty look. Now as i have no strength in my nails as of yet, the acrylic nails by kiss are perfect to protect and preserve my progress. As trust me an acrylic nail is not a nice thing to chomp on as your daydreaming. Also disclaimer #donttrythat folks, just my experience in life.

We start as with all nails by preparing fully, so remove any nail varnish and if you can buff your cuticles. This job makes me a little jumpy as in nails salons ive had my cuticles ripped to shreads so now i do my own nails. Honestly they last me because i do follow and add my own steps to my nails to make them last.

Ive had so many people ask me how do i make home kit nails last and its simple, judge your nails condition. If you have super short nails the you may need the glue version rather then adhesive backs. Again if you have some length get the appropriate size and adhesive needed. The beauty of Kiss kits is that its all supplied. 

Once your nails are prepped and bone dry, size each nail before you attemt to glue them. I set mine on the table working from pinky finger to thumb laid out. 

Tips : Always work from pinky to thumb and apply thumbs when all others are glued firmly. Also glue your non-dominant hand first especially if your not used to doing activities with Acrylic nails. 

Application : 

Take the nails and place them acrylic side down. (Its easier to pick them up and work quicker with the glue).  Open the glue and work on one nail at a time, firstly apply glue to the nail bed. Then apply glue to the bottom third of your acrylic nail. 

Now get your acrylic and place the tip on your cuticle, from there place it down so all air gets removed and the surface areas fully adhere together.  Now you just apply all the nails and don't be too heavy handed on the glue. You should now have beautiful nails. 

I love my Kiss nails and i admit my thumbs can come off but these nails are much shorter then the others. So the less nail space the likely hood is one will ping off but the glue and spare nails make an easy fix up. I would say dont go for the longest if your nails are super short, as with all things you start small then build up. Then you will have a wonderful set of nails and foundation to work on.

I love to do my nails. With the new trend being to show more designs or having an accent manicure. With ImPress nail's if you have short nails or want that fresh manicure look in an instant. I love these kits as they can give me the design and finish i love from a manicure.

- Apply in minutes : Tab side lines up with cuticle. 

- Before application: Select correct size nail for each finger and set aside in order. (Use smaller sizes for best results)

- Wash hands : Use enclosed prep pad to cleanse natural nails.

- During application: Press nails down firmly, first in the middle, then on each side of nail for long-lasting results. (Always apply thumb nails last.) 

- After application: For the first 1/2 hour, repeat pressing on nails to ensure extended wear. Wait one hour before cutting or filing nails and before exposing to water. Glitter may cause an uneven edge; gently smooth with enclosed file. 

- Remove in seconds: Gently peel off from sides or apply polish remover around edges, wait 1 minute, peel off.

So with these nail's the preparation is very important, to ensure they stick in place firmly. Do all nail-care preparation before. (i.e cuticle care, removing nail polish etc) Then clean your nail bed with the given wipe included. 

A tip would be to go through the size's and match each nail. This will make application easier, also do your thumb's last as the backing need's a firm grip to remove. Line the nail up before you apply as once they stick, they will not budge. 

So i applied my nail's and none of my nail's with length have moved as of yet. The nail's i have which broke, they do need some nail glue for added security. My thumb nail's are so short the adhesive part only was able to attach to a small part of my nail. So didnt last a long time yet with some nail glue it was able to attach more securely. So if your nail extends past the bed onto the skin your length is fine. If you dont have that then i would get some nail glue, also from ImPress or a kit with this included. 

As they do last and give a lovely summery effect. 

Kiss - Gel Fantasy nail's

So Kiss have a new set of nail's available for your use. The gel fantasy nail's are acrylic in feel and appearance. I really like this version of the nail's released, they are comfortable plus affix securely.

Preparation: 

Clean with nail polish remover and wash hands soap. Select a nail for each finger and set aside in order. 

Adhesive Tab Application 

Select adhesive tab that coordinates with selected nail size & peel off sheet. Apply adhesive tab to natural nail, press & smooth then peel off film. Align to cuticle and press down firmly.

Glue Application:

- Apply glue to back of nail

- Apply glue to natural nail

- Align with cuticle, gently press & hold 5 seconds.

Expert Tip: 

- Press down several times 

- Avoid contact with water for the first hour. 

Removal: 

- Trim & file surface to disrupt protective top coat. 

- Soak in Kiss Artificial Nail Remover (Acetone remover until soft). 

- Wipe off softened nails & glue. 

**NB : Do not force or pull nails off.**

I really found these nail's easy to apply and the instructions are laid out to obtain maximum result's. Firstly making sure my nails were clean i then selected the sizes needed for each nail. This make's it easier then trying to find one as your juggling glue and other nail's drying.  So the glue is really strong and adhere's the nails together with such a bond, be careful not to get any on your skin. So i applied a layer of glue to my nail and also to the edge of the nail itself, so there is no gap at the top when you press it down. It takes a good 40-60 for a sticky bond to form, i held mine in place for a minute to ensure security. Once they are stuck down then they are not moving at all.  

I really would use these nail's again as i think they are high quality and give me a fantastic finish.

Above are my nails after i have applied the Kiss gel fantasy, they are beautiful and i feel confident wearing them. Apologies for my nails condition but i was only just released from hospital after needing some treatment. So they need some TLC in the coming weeks. 

ImPress nails : New designs

imPress manicure's have been a well loved product for me, that are easy to apply plus last. I cant get to have nails applied so this is the next best thing. I found they work for me and ive never had a problem with them. So when i heard and saw new designs, it would have been just wrong not too.

How to use : Select the correct size nail for each finger and set aside in order. Cleanse natural nails with prep pad. Align tab with cuticle, peel off and press down firmly onto natural nail.

So i have a beautiful set of black and white lace (TGIF) patterned, along with a vibrant stunning red shade. So like i say the application i find is easy, plus not too fit tight into the nail bed. If you need to go to a smaller size it does look more natural and the nail will adhere better. Ive tried a test, the size of my nail bed and slightly smaller but fits within more naturally. I found the size that really pinches the cuticle (bigger) will not last more then 2 days most, as it doesnt stick to the middle properly but just the sides. So go one size down, where it slides along the nail and meets your cuticle perfectly.This i find allow's the whole adhesive to secure firmly,to your own nail.

I hope you can see above from my close up, how im explaining the nail fitting close to the cuticle.I find they look more natural to my hand when i look at the full set applied.Plus then also they will last (i find) the amount of time that is specified on the package. Ive never had them last less then 5 days, even then the one i would loose is my thumb. 1 replacement nail later from my spares, within the container then my manicure is complete again. So i hope my tips will help and ensure that these new designs dont go to waste. They are fun and snazzy and ive seen a techno-colour dream (Below picture, middle left container) that i have on my "to purchase list".
