Kringle candles - New 2014 scents

I love Kringle candles, they are the most beautiful candles. The scent throw is amazing, making your home smell divine. I was low on voltives and went to stock up. Then was kindly sent the new scents to trial. I love to display (daylights/voltives/tealight) in a big glass jar. If friends visit and would like one to try, I happily give them. I can't thank Kringle enough for being so generous.

So the new scents for 2014 are
- Grapefruit
- Sparkling
- Black sands
- Coconut wood
- Wild poppies
- Sail away

So in a rundown if the scents -
Sail away is a real feel of the seaside, that scent you smell as you approach the coast. Nice hints and reminders of going to the beach. Very fresh and gives your home a sense of peace.

- Black sands is probably one I would say my husband loves. It's very masculine and perfect for him. He really enjoyed the initial scent and will enjoy burning this. It's very much like a masculine aftershave scent, perfect for a man- cave. Seems overpowering on first smelling, however calms to a constant scent throw.

- Wild poppies is beautiful and I'm not a floral scent kind of girl. However this has a perfect balance of floral with freshness. Not overpowering at all. Just like a hint of  spring entering your home, it's stunning. Would highly recommend if your not sure on florals but would like one to try, this would be the one. Lovely lit and so calming like the same effect as lavender scents.

- Coconut wood is one where you keep smelling it, to get closer to the scent. I can only describe it as raw coconut with some hints of wood. Now I have had fresh coconuts as a child. This is bringing back that scent of the freshly opened coconut. You have the woody tones of the outer husk, the coconut milk and fresh smell from inside. It's really nice and again this would be a calming scent if choose. I love coconut.

- Sparkling is almost a fresh light hints of lemon and lime. Summer sparkling mix of lemonade freshly made then lime added to give a zesty zing. I use this when I want something just really light. However throws different scents every now and again.

Grapefruit is a light and has a hint of the fruity grapefruit scent. Really is impressive how this is a perfectly balanced candle. It's not overpowering and gives a nice throw of scent without being over the top. I don't like grapefruit but I love this candle.

I had purchased some voltives and was kindly sent an array of sample cards. I found the card lasted a few hours as a air freshener. This gives me an idea of which candles I want to add to my collection. So grateful to Kringle candles for the sample cards.

So I bought (stocked up heavily) on Pancake breakfast, Sugar plum and Red rum punch. I will say that "pancake breakfast" has an amazingly stong scent, even when it's still wrapped up. When lit it then gives a scent, of maple sugar with hints of pancakes.

Red rum punch is also a lovely summer fruity candle. Hints of blackberries, strawberry and a mix of other lovely scents.I really like this, as it's a mix when it burn's. They have the balance just right on there candles. It's a beautifully rich fruity candle. However they don't overpower, I personally can feel quite ill if a scent becomes too potent. I like a constant nice flow of scent and Kringle offer me this.

Next on the list to try
Melon, Frosted cake, spiced apple if in stock, most scents from the fruit and food sections.

Kringle candle Company - Winter 2013 Scents

So for the second time im reviewing for Kringle candle company with there new additions to the Holiday favourites line. Im so grateful to review another batch of lovely candles and especially in the winter time when it sets the mood for the home.

So the new scents are : Autumn winds , Blue Spruce, Ginger snow angel, Peppermint kiss, Snow day and White pumpkin
These scents join there 12 other Christmas favourites.

Ginger Snow Angel

So the first candle i was drawn too from the set was Ginger snow angel, this is a very beautiful scent of gingerbread and brown sugar. Its mainly reminded me of when you make gingerbread fresh and you just take it out of the oven. The smell envelops you and your home in a wonderful gingery hug. So if you don't like gingerbread then this may not be for you. However its a constant scent meaning that it doesn't become overpowering to the senses and keeps at a nice plato of sensual pleasures. I really love this candle and its double wick version in the evening, with a hot mug of cocoa is just how winter should be enjoyed. This is my favourite of the new range of scents released.

Snow day

The next is the beautiful Snow day and i must say the art work on Kringle candles never fails to make me gasp and get the feel of the candle. It really does show you what the scent is and trying to converge the feeling encapsulated. So snow day is a fresh scent to the first snow of the season, with a lovely cool almost powder like scent. Its hard to describe the smell of snow but its a nice fresh scent for the home. I would say the blue tinge in the tumblers really does convey the "snow" feeling more as it looks like packed snow in the container. Its lovely to have on display.

Peppermint Kiss

The next is Peppermint kiss and well it reminded me of candy canes with the sweet outside and minty tinge of the inner layer. It has light notes of sugar with vanilla in it with a peppermint tinge to the air. Beautiful candle that really does give a taste of christmas to the home. I love having candy canes on the tree and they are a nice break from the sugar overload to have a minty fresh feeling.

Blue Spruce

So the next Blue spruce is amazing and smells like a christmas tree from the minute its lit. We don't have our tree yet, the house smelt like a tree had been set up for a night filling the room with its scent. It was unbelievable how real the scent was. Great for anyone whom wants to have the smell of christmas trees filling the air.

Autumn Winds

So the next is the Autumn winds candle which is very strong scented smell of leafs. Now I know every scent is personal preference and what I like another person may not and vice versa. So I'm not going to have a bad word to say on something that is subjective to the person purchasing it. If you like the leafs falling and conker smells of autumn then this is the candle for you. Personally I'm a fruity and foody scent kinda girl. So floral and natural scents are not my cup of tea.

White Pumpkin

Then finally we have White pumpkin which was not my favourite. I guess because we don't have pumpkins that I can't compare it. However from remembering Halloween I can vaguely say this is true to scent. It has the fresh pumpkin and almost outdoors woodland scent. Very nice for anyone wishing to bring a little of the outdoors inside, but like I said I'm very much a food and fruity scent kinda girl. So I do think the scents of the outdoors are great for maybe a more manly ambiance as my husband loves these ones. He was very impressed by them and had them burning whilst I was in my room with my lovely ginger snow angel.

That's also another great advantage to Kringle candles is the scents don't clash, so when they meet in the hall it's not sickly. It's like Christmas has just settled  and It's a homely, cosy feeling. Another lovely selection to Kringle candle and they burn brilliant, no tunneling or any problems at all. I have had other brands and needed to return candles due to this but never a Kringle candle. The wax is so pure and a pleasure to have in the home.

Kringle Candle Company

So with decedent candles and everyone now wanting more quality products. The same can be said for candles. No longer do we want the white, non scented tea lights.... oh no, now we want scents and fragrance that can stir a memory of a time passed by or even just help with relaxation in this crazy world we live in.So little back story to Kringle candles is below, now I'm going to link the whole page as basically there is a whole amazing history behind Kringle candles.

Mike elected to make a Christmas gift for his mother - a candle created from his old childhood crayons. A visiting friend offered to buy it, and the Yankee Candle Company was born in December 1969. Soon he was selling candles at school, to friends and even some stores.
But by 1972 he'd managed to move the fledgling operation out of his parent’s garage and into an old one-time paper mill back in his native Holyoke. The $80 per month space he rented in the nearly 200-year old building lacked heat, running water and electricity.
Yankee Candle expanded slowly but surely during the next decade, and eventually reached $1 million in annual sales. The vast majority of that business was wholesale, but since a steady trickle of retail customers had been finding their way to the inner-city Holyoke location, Mike became convinced that a more accessible location in the country would be the key to real expansion. In 1983 he took the great leap of faith, using an SBA loan to build a new retail outlet and factory complex just off I-91 in South Deerfield, roughly 15 miles north of Holyoke. The store and the company flourished, retail and wholesale revenues expanded rapidly, and Yankee Candle became an internationally-recognized brand by the mid-1990's. In 1998 Mike sold 90% of the equity in Yankee Candle to Forstmann Little & Co., who brought the company public a year later. He remained on the Board of Directors until 2003 before fully retiring from the business.
And in 2009, he became a close business advisor to his son Mick, but that's another story!

So that there was the start to Yankee Candles, then when his son wanted to take on the same path, Kringle Candles was born. Now with all that knowledge it is no wonder that Kringle candles are as strong and vibrant in scent then there Yankee competitors.
However i will say this for Kringle, i love the homey packaging and the really lovely unique way of making a candle look so chic without compromising on quality.  Now i was kindly sent these for review and they are just what i need, as it so easy now to de-stress.  I really do encourage anyone in a stressful time or needing a calming environment to invest in a candle or some tea lights. It wont solve the problem but it will help when lack of sleep or just offer some light relief.

Kitchen canister collection in Brownie Cheesecake
So like most candle companies there is usually a seasonal collection or a collection of some innovative scents. I say this in all honesty but the Kitchen canister range reminds me of the old jam jar lids with the cloth. They are beautiful in my opinion, plus there is 11scents in the  "Baked goods" range too choose from. So i was sent the Brownie cheesecake and oh wow (I also received some tea lights from the same collection). When i opened it, now describing scent is hard to do but i will try. (Next app for a computer should be smell-o-vision) Brownie cheesecake is like the mixed smells of the base biscuit tones with hints of brown sugar then a rich vanilla creamy chocolate undertone, tying it all together.
I do love my cake smelling candles and this is one of them as it reminds me of the huge chocolate brownie ice-cream jar dessert at harvester. With the warm sauce and vanilla undertones of the cream.

Fruit selection - Royal cherries

Now the Fruit selection has many favourite and classic scents available . I prefer fruity and food scents to the fresh and floral. Now this defiantly has a very deep cherry smell and i must admit it reminds me of cherry drops when lit. I have been using this one mostly in the evening when I'm winding down as its just soothing plus when candles are a mix of scent, it can over stimulate you to work out what the smell is. Its like a song you know but can remember the singer etc and at night all i want to do is have a face mask, mug of tea with my husband then drift off into a lullaby of peace. Beautifully packaged and i mean its just a joy to light in the evenings.

Kitchen canister collection tea lights in - Blueberry muffin, Cranberry Scone and Fresh baked bread.

These are the tea-lights and they come in either white to match decor you may have or coloured versions. Now they burn for 12 hours and oh boy the throw of smell on these is amazing. I will be stocking my big glass bell jar with a selection of these, Now i found the food scents to be mellow and really just as peaceful, but they do make you think yummy dessert. As my husband says it just makes him think somethings in the over or just been baked. The baked bread was the oddest as you are so very aware of what this smell is, but to have it in candle form is quite a new experience.
I did prefer the blueberry muffin as i like the smells of fruity cake, this was lovely and mellow. Just as blueberry muffins are when freshly baked, just when they are warm does the smell of the blueberry release. So yes this is the milder ones if you are looking for hints of scent for your room.
Cranberry scone is like a light fresh baked smell of scone with a hint of a vanilla cream,

Fruit Scents tea lights in - Mango , Spiced apple and Tangerine

Now these are tea-lights again from the fruit section, there is one clear and definite favourite in here that both me and my husband battled for territory over. As he wanted it in the evening to scent the room when he was winding down and i wanted it because it just smells so darn good.
That being said the candle we both wanted more and more of was spiced apple. Now this spicey lovely little pot of joy smells like apple strudel or pie with definite hints of cinnamon. This is a definite one we both want when we order. Its divine and you can obtain sample cards to trial all the scents so that you can see which you think will suit your home and tastes. But if your loving a cinnamon apple scent and i think this is the perfect winter nights candle, without a doubt this is a blanket of pure heaven in a jar.

Tangerine is also from the coloured range also mango is in the white tea light range.
These two have yet to be lit, as they do last.

Rainy day tea light

Another from the coloured tea light section, rainy days is like
Quite apt with all the april showers and bad weather plus is really cute as its a coloured version.
Reminded me of a nice warm clean linen scent.
