Nivea - New cleansing wipes

Nivea is another well known brand, that offers skincare for all skin types. I was kindly given the opportunity to review the new wipes being released. There is 4 types which are based on your skin's needs.

They say :

When NIVEA Creme was first introduced to the world in December of 1911, our goal was one thing: better skincare for everyone. 100 years later, our goal hasn’t changed. Throughout the decades, we have introduced you to many innovative skincare products – from deodorant to sun protection – and we’re always looking for new ways to improve our existing products.

We work with some 50 institutes, in places as far flung as Brazil, India, China and South Africa, to test all of our products and ensure that they are suitable for your skin. Today, we offer a wide range of moisturisers, body creams, deodorants, cleansers and sun protection products. Committed NIVEA researchers studied these individualities and, thanks to their discoveries, people all over the world were able to find the answer to skincare needs related to their culture, gender and age.

Refreshing facial cleansing wipes

They say :

The NIVEA Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes, thorough cleansing of normal and combination skin, also provides refreshing hydration.

So the refreshing cleansing wipes, are large pads that are soaked with cleanser. I was very impressed with these wipes. They were refreshing in the morning to wake up too. Also the bag is seal does stick down multiple times, with no loss of adhesive. So they don't dry out. I really enjoyed these wipes. Especially during the hot days, it certainly helped.

Pure & Natural cleansing wipes

They say :

NIVEA pure and natural refreshing cleansing wipes are for all skin types. Infused with Bio Argan Oil and Bio Aloe Vera, they are free of parabens, mineral oils, silicones, artificial colorants and alcohol. They gently cleanse, remove make-up and refresh the skin - all in one step.

The pure and natural wipes smell lovely and I loved using them, my skin was soft after using them. I
used them daily and again the pad was large. It's large enough to only need one to remove my makeup. That's what I love about all 4 types of wipes.

Gentle facial cleansing wipes

They say :
Daily Essentials Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes enriched with natural Almond Oil & Hydra IQ. Gently cleanse, removing make-up and waterproof mascara leaving skin feeling hydrated.  The formula with Almond Oil is mild and caring and is suitable for dry and sensitive skin. Your skin is completely cleansed, toned and hydrated, leaving your skin feeling soft and soothed all day long.
These are my favourite wipes of the three as they are perfect for dry skin. They are super cleansing and leave a hydrating balm. They feel like the Nivea almond oil lotion I use, so the descriptive is very true. I Definatly would buy multipacks of these.

Sensitive cleansing wipes

They say :

NIVEA® Daily Essentials Sensitive Cleansing Wipes enriched with Vitamin E and Provitamin B5. Cleanses effectively, removing make-up and even waterproof mascara. Refreshes and leaves the skin feeling moisturised. See and Feel Healthy Looking Skin The skin is effectively cleansed and refreshed, looking healthy and beautiful.

These are amazing wipes that have been perfect for the morning. You want something caring before your routine starts, these are perfect.  I've enjoyed all 4 wipes, with the sensitive and gentle being the two I've enjoyed most. They fit my skincare regime perfectly. So thank you Nivea for allowing me to test for you.

Amie wipes - New bloom Gentle face wipes

Okay so wipes, guilty I'm a wipe hoarder. I will stock basic wipes for my makeup drawer to use during application and then use cotton with a cleanser and my clarisonic on those days. (Dont use my clarisonic daily).

They say
Amie’s NEW BLOOM Gentle Facial Cleansing wipes are beautifully soft wipes that instantly wipe away dirt, oil and make-up and help leave skin feeling toned and moisturisedThese fragrance-free wipes  are suitable for all skin types including sensitive. They contain skin-friendly natural extracts of pomegranate, cranberry and green tea for beautifully clear, soft and radiant skin.
Harmonising natural extracts
Pomegranate, Cranberry, Green tea
as with all Amie’s award-winning products, they are: free from parabens, mineral oils, petrochemicals, free from animal extracts, suitable for vegetarians and vegans, dermatologically tested, Cruelty-free approved.

I was sent the Amie skincare wipes to try. Now I will say I've been so impressed with Amie I really do think its so undervalued as a brand. It's remarkable for sensitive skin and dry skin. Plus natural and that's the catch for me when I'm cleaning my skin I like to use natural, as it makes no sense to me to after using makeup which has agents in it to then use a non natural skincare.  I know not everyone shares that view but I used one product a whole back so steeped in alcohol I could smell it on opening and application it near off burnt my skin and I was lucky to remove it quick and inform the company of this.

So these wipes are like a dream to me for makeup removal as they are a texture perfect to really get to every contour of the face. Also moist enough to clean without causing irritation to the eyes or make you feel your skins in need of some dry time. They smell amazing and I love pomegranate so I really do think its been the main factor as they are so fresh. Plus one wipe just gets every bit off and when you have 25 your aware of that fact. These are not your normal baby wipe they are intended for a purpose and a honestly savour these like its my brush hitting pan on a high end powder or foundation. Same feeling to me that wipes can be precious but when they feel so good I wish I could buy them in massive boxes like a baby wipe. As I would in a heartbeat trade cotton for these after a heavy makeup routine.

Now on looking I was expecting these to be in line with the competitors, Amie still amazes me that I actually think I could treat myself every couple of months to a few packs, and not be guilty for the spend.

Natio Cleansing wipes or Simple wipes ?

So i want to start discussion monthly topics along with a post informing everyone of bargains, discount codes, latest news and views from the beauty and fashion world.

This months i purchased 2 boxes of Natio wipes to receive another fabulous Debenhams goody bag and whilst I've seen this brand I've never ventured into using it. Myself and my beauty girls did this and we honestly have been blown away by the quality of the wipes. They come within a box and the pack has 24 wipes. Now they are moist wipes that can remove the stubbornness of makeup and i really love the smell of the fresh natural oils. I will use these for when i remove makeup and need a soothing wipe that won't dry my skin nor do i need to go through a pack to expect all the makeup to be removed.

Now would these be better then my simple wipes as on price comparison the simple wipes are cheaper with natio being just under £4 in the sale.

My simple wipes come in a pack of 7 and I use these as they are non harsh plus they offer a good texture to get that stubborn liner off. I really like these and get then when its 3 for £3 in the boots offers but then I'm getting 21 wipes for the price I pay for one box of the natio. However to justify £7 for 2 boxes of natio wipes is a no no and Its a nice little treat if they do goody bags again then these will be what il grab.

However in say thing that I'm now thinking my simple wipes are a tad of a rip off and may resort to boots cucumber wipes and my sainsburies basic (use all the time as a staple in my makeup desk) yes I am wipe mad.. But I do have a roll of cotton and remover as a back up. Im maybe just too into my makeup wipes but i truly do think that what is in these wipes will help prevent clogging pores and build ups of dirt. These two have become favourites as they are very moist and only takes one wipe to remove the majority of my makeup. I may need to use some eye remover if i have used a lot of eyeliner just to simply be kinder and not irritate my eye.

I'd love to know your opinion on wipes and what you use ?

Where have i been ?

Many of us use makeup as we have a passion or or it is nessesity of our daily life. For me it is a mixture of things. It is one of those ...
