Dove - New indulgent washes and lotions

Dove have bought out a new pampering range of body washes and lotions. This range is mostly infused with (Pistashio's, Shea, Coconut) nut oils.  I love these scents and the added Shea to hydrate the skin is a beautifully thought of product.

Pistachio cream is just the most amazing nut oil smell, Infused with magnolia its a mix of a fresh and beautiful natural aroma's. I cant get enough of this body wash, as its just so gentle on the skin and senses. It moisturises whilst cleaning the skin in a sensitive manner, with no irritation felt whilst using this wash. This body wash is so nourishing especially if your in an area, where your water can leave your skin feeling a bit dry. This body wash is not overpowering and the whole family can use this confidently. Im so impressed that i will be defiantly trying all the range as these are pure pampering to the skin. As its a repurchase product for me with its beautiful scents.

Purely pampering really does sum up this collection from Dove. I love the scent of Vanilla and will try to have it in most of my after care products such as lotions. So i was quite addicted to this lotion. I used it to moisturise and felt lovely after using it. So after using it as a morning and evening lotion, i found its lightweight absorbent lotion. The exceptional quality Dove is known for. I love the Shea butter and warm vanilla lotion as its so fragrant and pure luxury to me. So if you love the smell of fresh nut oils with a mix of vanilla, then this is the range for you.  I think Dove is an affordable brand that makes products to the highest quality.

So I find its important to review the daily essentials, as well as the makeup additions to my collection. After all I love to know products I can use that are affordable and work. 

So I was asked to review the Dove conditioners, after being so impressed with the haircare range. 

They include ;

Intensive Repair ;

My Review ; 

I think this and the Gold were my overall favourites to use as they really did help rejuvenate my hair. They are thick and deep penetrating conditioners which for my hair is just what's needed. (corse and thick) I do need a conditioner that I can work into my hair and not it just rinse off within the shower. This coats the hair and within the steam, this gentle heat means the moisture can make the conditioner really work its magic. My hair has been less tangled and flyaway, easier to style and the least work for a good time. I think these are excellent choices for the affordable, everyday woman whom wants quality and results.

My review ;

Now as I said above, my review for the Blue intensive repair would be a close call.  Now the nourishing oil is as again for my hair, (which I do use oils as treatments) a perfect addition to my haircare range. It's affordable to use regularly so you can gain a effective result and also it works for me. I used this when my hair was struggling to re grow and gain strength. It has served as a wonderful contionditioner to my hair which is re growing plus the hair I have. It maintains and helps restore the hair I have, making it less dull but makes it look  revitalised. The oils I'm sure have put nutrients and health into the hair regrowing. So the process of me loosing hair has slowed considerably. I know it was a hormonal accurance, it's good to know I can feel a little more confident now. 

Colour radiance ; 

Dove Express Treatment Colour Radiance Conditioner gently conditions colour treated hair in just one minute, leaving it feeling with a glossy radiant colour that lasts without weighing it down.

My Review ; 

Now I reviewed this for Dove a while back in summer when it was released as a duo with the shampoo for Buzz agent. I did love the formulation as I regularly dyed my hair and it was damaging. This shampoo and conditioner duo is fabulous for maintaining colour vibrancy and health to the hair. It again is affordable and works to maintain your hairs health.

Now Dove is a well known brand for skincare but did you know they have branched into haircare ? Well with the help of Dove hair ambassador Christian wood, they now have the products to deliver beautifully nourished hair. So with the kind assistance of Dove and the beautiful set I was sent, I'm going to run you through the 4 haircare products. 

Products for review are

Refresh and care - Dry shampoo 

Style and care - Heat protect spray

Style and care - Cream serum

Style and care - Moisturising dry ends serum 

I'm really excited to trial these products from Dove as my hair is long, curly and mostly a frizzy mess. Unless I have a brilliant serum and a can of mousse, it's plaited and kept tangle free. As the one thing I find with products for curly hair is they usually are so overly sticky or heavy to the hair. I would usually either end up with hair so crisp from product you would wonder how it doesn't break or a no product frizzy mess.  So with the wheel guide I'm going to give you a run down on each product and how it does for my hair type.  Firstly the Dry shampoo which I have used so I can wash and apply the other products. They advise to apply to damp towel dried hair. 

So with the Dry shampoo you can use this to give a refreshing boost to your hair, if you have not got time to fully wash and style. Also dry shampoo if applied to the roots can give a lift to the hair as that's where oil can build up and leave hair looking flat. So this absorbs the oil to boost from the root and add that volume you maybe lacking.  I must say I have only ever used one brand of dry shampoo. This offering from Dove is lovely and fresh to use, I also didn't get any white cast. My hair felt clean after I used this as I have dry hair, so I don't wash it daily. However I think people with oily hair would like this product, as my hair feels lighter and clean from all product residues. Very impressed and for the 200ml can priced at £4.59, (depending on retailer) I would consider re-purchasing.

Next we have the 3 style and care products, starting with the Frizz free shine cream serum. This product along with the dry ends serum was what I was very excited about. I have as yet not found a serum I like or feel works. As I want an item to make my hair look healthy and just glowing, but also lightweight. 

This styling cream and dry ends serum I feel is light weight. One squirt of serum after you have styled you hair, is really effective. I was highly impressed with this product as serums can run quite expensive. Especially if you have curly hair and need a fair amount. One pump for straightened hair and two for curly is enough. I say two for curly as my hair becomes seriously thicker. The styling cream I found was for more curly styling as I didn't want to weight my hair when straight with too much product as it tends to kink. 

So I chose to review this item last as I straighten my hair once, then I will leave it till the next wash is due. Because my hair is frizzy I tend to give it a break before applying heat again. If I don't then I will split and damage the hair beyond repair. So I will make a point of doing a monthly hair mask along with my facial routine and overall pamper session. Just to add some health back to my hair. It seems to work as my hair is not overtly frizzy when I straighten it. As long as I use a good heat protectant, then I will be able to spray with some lightweight hairspray and my hair will hold. 

So with the new Dove style and spray heat protectant, I was excited as to have a lightweight protectant that Nourish's too is what I'm always on the hunt for. So it protects up to 230 degrees which is standard for most ceramic flat irons, however mine can go higher for a "flash blast" on pesky areas of hair. I rarely use that function but it's there.  It says that "the combination of silicones and conditioning agents provide a sublime shine. Whilst protecting the hair fibres during heat styling". I've done a picture of my hair with the product in. 

As you can see my hair is not frizzy and smooth with just a small amount of spritz. Plus it's not feeling weighted down or increased "straigtener burn" which is what I say when I hear my hair crackle. I didn't have this as the product sprays a light mist and I found adding to dry hair more effective. I personally would not straighten my hair damp.

So I'm exceedingly impressed with the new Dove styling products, they are affordable and give excellent results. I would defiantly repurchase these rather then the expensive counterparts.

So Dove is a well known and loved brand  for moisture and care to the skin. Helping sensitive skins and also with the added moisture and lack of impurities.

Okay so this new Dove smells amazing and it's not overwhelming as with every shower or product for the bathroom, I see if a man can use them and know the difference. As I don't have a huge bathroom so I can't go clogging my shower with a load of product as my husband bless him where would his I ? So he will engage in this and try it to see if its overpowering in smell or just basically not manly. 

So he as did I use this all through the month and I will say the deeply nourishing in the unisex just plain Dove no scent formula. This was used by us both and loved, it's makes you feel extremely soft. Lovely plus loved by my husband and not noticeable so this is unisex. 

Now the blue fig and Orange blossom is my favourite of the two, I loved this scent because it's lovely in the shower and really relaxing. Now my husband tried this and said it was relaxing and it's not unmanly to enjoy the process of washing. We both have candles in the bedroom lit so yes obviously I need to cream and he helps me due to my needs and helping me. However he used this scent and we both smelt after and it disperses quite quick so no man could not pick this up and think its just for a woman. Plenty of men love fruity scents and this is not overly powerful so it can be used also as a unisex shower product. 

I really rate these Dove new washes as they do give you a lovely moisturising shower with clean fresh feeling. So why not try them as they are essential for the home and an everyday use product. This is about beauty and not just makeup. 

Dove is a brand we use to maintain and upkeep our appearance, so we need to also review the essentials then the high end products.
