When it comes to hair straightener's,  Ive found that you can get some amazing brands that are brilliant styling tool's for your hair. Diva is one of those brand's that gives your hair what it need's plus is backed by professional's. This post is part 1 of 2 (as we all dont have the same hair, so I plan on testing out on differnt types of hair) seeing as i wear wig's currently and not for too much longer. This post is for anyone with extension's, wigs and any artificial hair what Diva does for your hair.

The packaging is so impressive, with a clear and consise list of all the benefits for your hair. Infused with argan oil the plate's which reach up to 230 degree's, (can be changed as needed) im keen to see how they can calm my curly hair. Also il be putting the straighteners to the test with using them on my wig's, to see how the heat technology work's plus protecting my wigs hair.

They are so beautiful and the pouch which doubles as a heat mat, really does keep your straighteners protected. I would advise keeping the velcro band that holds your power cable wrapped neatly within that bag, its ideal to keep the cable neat and especially if your travelling. (Personally I dont put my power cable in with my straighteners, as the plug pin's against your plates may scratch.)

- My hair (Before & After) 

I have to currently use extension's due to hormonal imbalance due to my recent hysterectomy. So I use wigs and also suppliment my own hair with clip ins also. So i was eager to know how this would perform on my wig's hair. I have long hair with a few patchy area's ive been told will grow back just as thick as before. Plus I feel more confident wearing a wig personally. 

I used the heat mat and wig holder to straighten the hair. I set as recommended too the temperature for this hair type (110). It I must say warmed up and I slightly questioned would it be hot enough. So I placed them down and proceeded to run my fingers to prep my wig. (Also small tip, dont do this on a very hot day like I did) I sectioned a small portion as well these straighteners do heat up and wow once they were to the heat needed, small combing of sections was like butter over the hair. 

This is only set too 110, so the hottest setting on actual hair will be seconds. (I will be testing on my sister asap). Also I recommend a heat glove if you want to push higher if your not used to the heat. 

I did do a good portion very quick and easily. I must admit the hair felt and looked better after straightening. It was less frizzy in areas where the curls were loosing and needed re-doing, it felt more conditioned and not as corse which I expected. I cannot wait to show more of Diva and what the straighteners can do. 

Il be doing the whole wig and a makeup look, (which will be tagged with Diva on all my Social media) plus test on sister in law to see what she think's .

Having long hair means using loads of product's and hair ties. I too stock up on the hair ties i know wont pull, dent or damage my hair. Plus wont break by the sheer volume of hair I have when im out, leaving me with an unruly head of hair.

I have curly long hair which when need's tying back or overnight to help prevent huge knots. I also have an array of wigs which i use Mi Ti's for, as i know the hair will not become tangled or damaged. As wigs are not cheap. 

In my latest lookbook photos you can see how i used the red & blue version. This shows up really well on how they look when using within your hair. They are simple to use and easily removed with no hair's getting matted or damaged. 

Im loving all the bright colours to co-ordinate them with my outfit and keep my long hair up. These Mi Ti's also do not kink my hair if i straighten it, which takes a while as my hair is very curly. If you find they are becoming mis-shapened or loose you only need drop them in hot water, I will be trying this when they do shop signs of give. So thats a real lifesaver to anyone whom uses and breaks hairbands frequently. As my hair is thick and curly, hairbands snapping is a real issue and having to carry spare's. Mi Ti's eliminated my need to carry spare's or worry about breaking when i go to tie my hair back. Im a huge fan of this hair-tie and think they are great long lasting, efficent and colourful range.

My hair is loud, curly and proud. It doesnt fail in telling me this each day, i awaken to a mass of madness. My hair at the crown of my head, always wiggles free from his place then gestures me with a loving frizzy wave. I was kindly sent the Invisi-bobble to trial, also that its neon version will be available in Topshop.

The Invisibobble has various advantages to it:

- It is traceless

- Avoids headaches

- It is caring to the hair

- Wearable with all hair types

- Bracelet feature

- Traceless:

The traceless outcome lies in telephone cord shape. When worn it places uneven pressure, around the the ponytail. This  allows for the hair to be held.

- Avoiding headaches:

 Headaches when wearing your hair up, is a common problem. A hold that doesn't pull on hairs or the scalp.

- Caring:

They are caring to the hair, with no metal clip. The two ends are brought together smoothly. Suitable for any hair type. Can be worn as a bracelet when not in hair.

So i recieved 3 bobbles within the pack, which is very affordable. Now i wanted to see what 3 ladies thought, so i kept one then distributed 1 to my mother in law plus my sister in law. As we all use the usual hair ties, in time they become very loose and then snap. However the first use of normal hair ties, can be uncomfortable and a strain on the hair. Personally i can get migraines, from pulling my hair tight for long periods. I was interested to see if invisibobble would help.

So its Neon pink colour may look scary but within my dark hair, it blended in fine. I found that when i first used the invisi bobble, i admit i thought its too loose. As your instinct is to pull as tight as you can. When i let go on the final pull through, i was surprised to find my hair stayed where it was. It didn't feel loose or lax, nor did it during the day. When i asked my sister in law and mother in law there thoughts, they said pretty much the same thing on first use. It takes a while to get used to the strength this little bobble has.

There has been no visable damage to my hair whilst ive been using the invisi bobble. Also no headaches or uncomfortable pains, from my hair being pulled back. Again same feedback from my family, no headaches which is the main factor for us all. We all did agree we would purchase more neutral tones for our wrists as well, it can look a little teeny bop-perish. So we will be using the colours our hair is naturally or the clear ones on next purchase. Im so impressed with the invisibobble. I will be back to say how long the Invisi bobble lasts us all.

So when i was asked to review some of the New editions to the Style and finish range at Joico, i was more then happy to oblige. My hair struggles with products and with the technology involved within Joico's product to protect hair as well as get the best out of it. I knew i was dying to try the Power Whip and Power Hold hair spray.

So firstly the Power Whip, described as :

Sleek professional packaging with a helix in the corner to symbolise the nutrients. Very stylish addition to anyone's hair routine. Now the hair whip is ideal for my curly and uncontrollable hair. I find if I use a mousse then it will end up, overloaded and just crispy feeling. Or it will just run out over the course of the day so my ends and underneath will be so frizzy. I don't like to put so much in that it's obviously loaded heavy with product. I just would like to put enough in when it's drying so it then binds it for the day. This is why I like the holding rating on the products, this will give you the perfect product for whatever event. So if I was just wanting to hold my hair lightly for a daily effect then I can choose a lesser strength. This doesn't make my hair feel crunchy or loaded. I always put serum on before then the mousse, it still looks natural with this product. So I'm really happy with the power whip. 

Then we come to the Power Hold Hair spray :

A fast-drying, ultra-fine mist aerosol hairspray with firm to ultra-firm hold. Opal Powder creates tremendous shine, and special silicones contribute to a smaller particle size for a non-sticky fixative. hair is 5.5 times more thermally protected to 450°F. Colour-safe.

This firm to ultra-firm, layerable hairspray will give your hair a long- lasting, firm yet flexible finish that isn’t hard feeling. Plus, it will increase your shine by 170% and protect your hairstyle from humidity by 89%, (even after three days).

Now the finishing spray is probably the product I would use regularly as it just illuminates them last stragglers. Its a light spray and again if your like me and have really uncontrollable hair, I use serum first. Then this hair spray will definately give you a light feeling and hold. It smells amazing and also leaves your hair seperated even with the heavy hold rating.

So I'm so impressed with the Joico products as they definately remind me of salon quality. Giving you that hold with your hair still feeling light and bouncy. 

Dove - New hair care system

Now Dove is a well known brand for skincare but did you know they have branched into haircare ? Well with the help of Dove hair ambassador Christian wood, they now have the products to deliver beautifully nourished hair. So with the kind assistance of Dove and the beautiful set I was sent, I'm going to run you through the 4 haircare products. 

Products for review are

Refresh and care - Dry shampoo 

Style and care - Heat protect spray

Style and care - Cream serum

Style and care - Moisturising dry ends serum 

I'm really excited to trial these products from Dove as my hair is long, curly and mostly a frizzy mess. Unless I have a brilliant serum and a can of mousse, it's plaited and kept tangle free. As the one thing I find with products for curly hair is they usually are so overly sticky or heavy to the hair. I would usually either end up with hair so crisp from product you would wonder how it doesn't break or a no product frizzy mess.  So with the wheel guide I'm going to give you a run down on each product and how it does for my hair type.  Firstly the Dry shampoo which I have used so I can wash and apply the other products. They advise to apply to damp towel dried hair. 

So with the Dry shampoo you can use this to give a refreshing boost to your hair, if you have not got time to fully wash and style. Also dry shampoo if applied to the roots can give a lift to the hair as that's where oil can build up and leave hair looking flat. So this absorbs the oil to boost from the root and add that volume you maybe lacking.  I must say I have only ever used one brand of dry shampoo. This offering from Dove is lovely and fresh to use, I also didn't get any white cast. My hair felt clean after I used this as I have dry hair, so I don't wash it daily. However I think people with oily hair would like this product, as my hair feels lighter and clean from all product residues. Very impressed and for the 200ml can priced at £4.59, (depending on retailer) I would consider re-purchasing.

Next we have the 3 style and care products, starting with the Frizz free shine cream serum. This product along with the dry ends serum was what I was very excited about. I have as yet not found a serum I like or feel works. As I want an item to make my hair look healthy and just glowing, but also lightweight. 

This styling cream and dry ends serum I feel is light weight. One squirt of serum after you have styled you hair, is really effective. I was highly impressed with this product as serums can run quite expensive. Especially if you have curly hair and need a fair amount. One pump for straightened hair and two for curly is enough. I say two for curly as my hair becomes seriously thicker. The styling cream I found was for more curly styling as I didn't want to weight my hair when straight with too much product as it tends to kink. 

So I chose to review this item last as I straighten my hair once, then I will leave it till the next wash is due. Because my hair is frizzy I tend to give it a break before applying heat again. If I don't then I will split and damage the hair beyond repair. So I will make a point of doing a monthly hair mask along with my facial routine and overall pamper session. Just to add some health back to my hair. It seems to work as my hair is not overtly frizzy when I straighten it. As long as I use a good heat protectant, then I will be able to spray with some lightweight hairspray and my hair will hold. 

So with the new Dove style and spray heat protectant, I was excited as to have a lightweight protectant that Nourish's too is what I'm always on the hunt for. So it protects up to 230 degrees which is standard for most ceramic flat irons, however mine can go higher for a "flash blast" on pesky areas of hair. I rarely use that function but it's there.  It says that "the combination of silicones and conditioning agents provide a sublime shine. Whilst protecting the hair fibres during heat styling". I've done a picture of my hair with the product in. 

As you can see my hair is not frizzy and smooth with just a small amount of spritz. Plus it's not feeling weighted down or increased "straigtener burn" which is what I say when I hear my hair crackle. I didn't have this as the product sprays a light mist and I found adding to dry hair more effective. I personally would not straighten my hair damp.

So I'm exceedingly impressed with the new Dove styling products, they are affordable and give excellent results. I would defiantly repurchase these rather then the expensive counterparts. 

Yves Rocher - Botanical Hair repair oil

Yves rocher is a brand known to me via a beauty box with which I recieved a very highly pigmented lipstick. However on looking at the site I saw this brand is multi product supplier. Catering to all your needs from haircare to makeup. I was kind enough to be sent there hair oil which offers a botanical and natural approach. Its silicone and paraben free, made from oils plus enriched with macadamia plus babassu oils, 150mls costs £10.90 which isn't bad for a hair treatment. (Currently on offer for £5.50 in the sale).

So the story of Yves Rocher is  :

Yves Rocher - Hair repair oil 

Plus during the summer its really imperative to take care of your hair as well of your skin. I have very curly hair and its suffered alot over winter. Even cold can be harsh so these type of oils are really in my favourable books. I use alot and serums, so I defiantly do enjoy them. However I do think that its important they don't add a greasy feel to the hair and overload when your main aim is to add nutrient. 

Now I know hair can go beyond help and split so regular cuts are also important too, believe me I've gone and had at times 5inches removed. It comes with the long hair territory.  Now my harsh lesson was due to over dye at home and not using a salon. Believe me I know home dye can be addictive but there is a fine line, so try to use a natural one and get advice from you salon as much as you can. 

 I like this oil as its infused with nut oils and I like the smell, plus light formula. To ensure no excessive build up, use a few drops then take this in your hands and rub it to warm and make the oil more workable. If you do this then you will find that you won't need to use any more. It goes very far and you will be surprised just how far, so if you have oily hair do not hit your roots, go about a inch away. Then massage down the whole shaft of the hair. 

Now if you have curly and suffer that summer "Monica" frizz as I call it, then these oils kill two birds with one stone. I would not add a serum unless my ends are being particularly difficult (that's my hint to get a trim). I would not use oil if I was sunning myself as you wouldn't on your skin. This is best used when you have washed and left your hair to dry naturally. Overall I love this oil and it has neutralised  any frizz and damage I had to a degree, its cheaper then the high end versions and I think I will be using this in future. As you can see the bottle is quite large plus like I said before you don't need a lot. So you won't need to purchase this again in a while. Brilliant investment and buy if your into hair oils and like natural products. So thank you Yves rocher as I think this is brilliant and I was looking for a ojon oil alternative. I have found it.

Beauteco box - July edition

So while I have I unsubscribed to all the major beauty boxes (Glossybox,birchbox,luxbox and glam guru) I however was intrigued by beaute box. It offers a box that is environmentally thought of with less packaging. Plus the brands they offer are also naturally safe to use although i would hope that they will increase the amount of brands as i will love to see more added so that there is nothing repeated. I love how there box gives you the option to choose what you wish to receive.

Just plain purple packing, wrapped in a simple tissue paper then a little card explaining the contents.

Recyclable packaging plus there is no need to excess waste. I really do like this box but may only stay for a couple of months as I have so much to use that my house is becoming rather over-crowded. However this box was very hard not to pass up due to the very content and size of them.

I was very impressed with these offerings as they are massivly sized plus I always wanted to try Art Deco before and this gives me the perfect opportunity to do so.

The eyeliner I've heard is a mix between a gel and normal liner so it will not smudge nor is hard to apply. I cannot wait to use the eyeshadow primer as its makeup I'm always loving to trial. Neal and wolf is a brand I've heard of being well thought of and respected.

I cannot wait to see what next months box offers.
