Busy bee stationary : April edition

Ive been posting about my passion for writing. This is the second month of the Busy bee subscription box. I loved last month's edition.
About : We run a monthly stationery subscription box for busy bees. We enjoy the feeling of putting pen to paper. We love to journal. We are mad about planners. We like to stay in touch with loved ones "the old-fashioned way". Each month we send our subscribers a curated box of beautiful stationery - the contents are always a surprise! Our boxes typically include 5-10 items. We choose items that inspire creativity and help you with your everyday note-taking, planning, journaling and letter writing. Our boxes are always built around a theme, season, or specific creative project. Receive amazing products from brands like Heidi Swapp, Write Notepads, Gorjuss, Impression Paperie and more.

April's content's
Content's :
- Busy bee travelling notebook
- Set of 5 pencil's and sharpener
- Stamp (date and decorative)
- 3 travel charms
- 36 stationary card's (travel themed)
- Distress ink (Mermaid lagoon)
- Click pen
- Travel stickers (4 sheet's)
- Distress ink (Mermaid lagoon)
Distress ink is the best and has a vast array of colours. This is a mermaid blue with a hint of green, its a small size not suitable for the stamper included which is a shame. This would have been a great ink to use.

- Stamp (date and decorative)
I love this stamp as i have a very similar one only with the patterns are instead of sayings and no date also. This is really unique and I really like it. However il have to purchase an ink pad to fit the length, not a huge grumble but I would have loved to use it with my other item's.
- Set of 5 pencil's and sharpener
The pencil's have numerous lovely statements on them, they come with a pretty standard metal sharpener. Very sturdy and I like that I can use when I need supply, not pre-sharpened which is a waste. Writers and artists always need pencils.

- Busy bee travelling notebook
This is really nicely put together and made well, has plastic dividers so it can be used for anything you need. Lined paper which is thin but good enough quality for list making or jotting notes. I really like this as a pocket handbook.
- 36 stationary card's (travel themed)
These are my favourite item as they are notecard's, travel themed which can be used for scrapbooking to cardmaking. They have a vintage feel and im so excited to use these as i can just do something different and have mini postcards for birthdays or as gift tags within parcel's. An amazing addition to my set.

- 3 travel charms
These charms are brilliant, as I can use them for my planner's or stationary to give a little more bling. I love these are vintage looking and unique to travelling as then can be rotated for when I go anywhere. Also amazingly well made.
- Click pen
Cannot see the brand very well but it's a quite thicker then your normal biro size, which is brilliant for writers like me whom struggle. It gives more surface area to grip so not all the pressure is on my main joints, yet distributed evenly. I like this pen and I think it could be what i base future writing tool's on as its comfortable.

- Travel stickers (4 sheet's)
These sticker's are fabulous for planner decorators and stationary addicts alike. Multipurpose uses from jazzing up your mail to decorating the weeks your on holiday in your journal. Endless possibilities for these stickers and there is a generous amount.
Overall April was a fantastic box, well put together around the theme of travel and new beginnings. I liked that it had everything you could need down to a sharpener for your pencil's. It really did feel like a fuller box this month and didnt miss the quality. The products are all quality item's and there isnt an item that stands out. My only one hiccup is probably the size of the Ink for the stamp, its not easy to use and I love the colour of this ink but it looks to be a sample or meant for smaller single stamps. So that would be my only comment for this month, as the stamper is so unique that I want to use it on all my mail I recieve and send. (I have my mail date stamped for important item's)

So im really excited for next months box and its contents.

Happie Scrappie - Lucky grab bag

Since getting back into planning, writing and my general passion for all item's of stationary. I have also subscribed to Happie Scrappie, also I purchased a lucky bag along with my last months edition. It would be full of surprises and I love a good surprise.
About : The Happie grab bag are now restock since we are cleaning up the studio to prepare for stocking new, fun, exciting items. If you are giving one of these lovely planner goodies a home, also help us make room for new arrivals in our tiny studio.

Each grab bag have items from past Happie Scrappie kits, about 8 - 10 items, could be stickers, inserts, pens, washi tapes, sticky notes, paper clips, notepads etc. Some grab bags have plain / kraft inserts while some have Happie Scrappie exclusive. The items in grab bag ranges from $15-$18 while we only offer this fun, mystery bag at $6.99 for now.

- sampler pack of A5 sized inserts
The sampler pack is 20 sheets of double sided printed paper. It has different designs on each, some pages are lined-squared-patterned boxes etc. So each month the art work on the sampler pack matches the theme. So the samplers were filled with the cute dessert  characters.

Planner Sticker Sampler
These sticker's are fun, vibrant, cute and great reminders relevant for any one's month. I love sticker's and I can never have enough. I love the cakes and organising stickers in this set, as it can highlight important dates and things I need to remember.
- 1 Dashboard
I love dashboards as they are so versatile. They can replace a boring or non relevant planner divider, also be kept within the mailer envelopes so you have a  selection to choose from when you tire of a current dashboard. This one is super cute with its little monsters on a cloud.
- Page Flags
Page flags are my absolute favourite item  being a planner addict. It's a way to mark important weeks within your planner, using cute and colourful tags. Plus with the never ending choice of design you can change to the season or event.

- Stationery gel pen
This pen is a very cute and clever in that the ink is a mix of fluorescent colours, so as you use it the inks will change. I love having a set of pen's, it mean's I can pick a style to fit my mood. A writer can never have too many pen's.
Planner Sticker's
These sticker's are fun and cute. I love sticker's and I can never have enough so when i get some in set's like this then I have to put them in my planner for my "decorations friday funday". A day when I sit and just relax decorating my planners.
- Pagemarker
This page marker can be used to keep your place within any planner. I personally use these on my current week as a page finder. I especially love this design as its so cute and really eyecatching. Its art work is really impressive.
- Planner Sticker's

- Magnet bookmark, Mini Tassel, Planner Sticker's
- I got a yellow mini tassel with a pink little bow attached and it goes fabulous with my Green one. This charm is so cute and i can't wait too use it on my planner.
- This little cat paperclip sums up my love for cats and how cute they are. Its a perfect page divider.

Planner passion - whats coming soon ?

Being a lover of writing and now owing my own A5 planner as well as a Webster's personal size and paperchase filofax. I can safely say the world of planning is just currently - one huge candy shop to me. One is for my hospital & medical commitments then another is for financial dates. This is where stickers help our household has a sticker colour to know each direct debit.

I have no restaints when it comes to obtaining supplies as i dont have much. However i must say the planning community is one of the kindest and most open group of women.

They will openly assist a planner in need, to which im so grateful for. Plus having recieved a RAK (random act kindness) off some of the group members, it really does make me feel part of a bigger picture. I cant wait to start returning the RAK love. 💖
So my must haves for planning are stickers, note-pad's and list pad of my choice. Loads of pen's and pencils so I can quickly jot down idea's. I have now a pouch to keep my pen's and also my sticker's so they are not unorganised.

Plus each planner i like to give its own look so I have different sets per planner, so its easy having one area to store this. I will need another one as the A5 stationary is bigger, I also tend to use more coloured ink pen's and within my fountain pen.

So I have 2 planner subscription boxes winging there way over and I cannot tell you how excited I am for the review's.
Also i have an upcoming review on Aldi's latest release's and the quality of its products.

So happy planning 😃 xx

New blog topic - My planning passion

For 2016, Im wanting to add some additional topic's to my blog. These are passion's of mine, which I would love too share with you. So firstly I want to get into my collection of planners & Journal's. I love to write and since a young age ive always's had a diary, written poetry and filled notebooks full of idea's.
Since being introduced to the world of planner's, the possibility for creativity is endless. You can take your sense of style and make your planner reflect that.

Planner's & Diary's I own :
- Webster's planner
- Paperchase filofax
- Kikki k mini Diary
- Kikki K full sized planner

Now when i started, I ordered a fountain pen as i love the feel of using this particular writing tool. I create within each planner a part of style's I love and am drawn too. With the use of planner essentials (for which i will post on) and other creative supplies, you really can create as much or little as you like.

Each of my planner's has a singular purpose of what information they hold, my polka-dot holds household information. My Webster's planner is more personal information which is coded by the use of sticker's. Stickers are also the most helpful as they can be used to mark an occasion, instead of being used as just decoration.

I have so many as I love to write and jot down idea's. I have one for my personal thoughts (small notes over the day), as i cant hold a pen for too long without it hurting.

So instead of filling one small space with loads of dates etc. I can be creative in each planner, so ill be doing further post's on each one and materials that I use.

Where have i been ?

Many of us use makeup as we have a passion or or it is nessesity of our daily life. For me it is a mixture of things. It is one of those ...
