Ere Perez - Makeup line

Finally Ere Perez has arrived to the UK, released by Natralismo for purchase. Naturally sourced and produced makeup. Im so excited to share this brand with you on my blog, so it will be a more in-depth review.
About :
When I was a little girl growing up in Mexico, I loved playing with makeup. My mum used to give me beetroot to use as lipstick and blusher, the future inspiration for my Beautiful Beetroot Cheek & Lip Tint.
My maternal grandfather a traditional medicine man using locally available herbs, flowers, plants and oils. He taught the healing properties of plants and flowers. My paternal grandfather was also a biochemist, I had the benefit of the scientific perspective. I was inspired to work on my idea for a natural makeup range that would nourish, enhance and enable women to feel beautiful from the inside out. In 2004 my first product, the Natural Almond Oil Mascara was born. It’s being thoughtful and considerate of other people, making the most of our natural beauty and recognising our inner strength.

- Cheek & Lip Tint in Joy
Beautiful beetroot cheek tint – a natural stain for long-lasting cherry red colour. With rosehip extract and organic beetroot pigments, it quickly creates flushed-looking, rosy cheeks and that touch of colour to brighten your skin. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly for softer colour or apply freely for strong intense red if desired. Roll-on, easy to use and waterproof.

Natural Cheek Tints
1. After applying your makeup or to a clean face, apply this product to cheeks for the same effect of a blush/stain.
2. Simply roll on, a little at a time and then rub in with fingers until the colour blends to a natural hue.
3. For lips, apply as you would a gloss and also rub in to blend.
This cheek and lip stain is easily applied with the a rollerball system. (Ive never seen this method to apply) However it's easy and effective for both lips and cheeks. As the formula is of a liquid slightly gel formation, making for easy application on the lips and cheeks.
Upon the lips the stain feel's comfortable they arent drying like most.

Versatile Vanilla Highlighter Sun Halo
Sun Halo will gently illuminate the skin with a soft golden glow. Perfect for all skin tones, the new golden shade gives a sun-kissed look to fair skins and for highlighting already tanned and olive or darker tones.

Its gorgeously soft, shimmery and creamy formula that is really easy to apply with the fingertips. Perfect for brightening up and awakening tired eyes before or after a big night out, it instantly softens and brightens the skin.

Now when i saw this highlight my first impression was it was going to be too dark for my skintone. Look's however are decieving as this can be used as a cream eyeshadow also. As the above swatches show the cream shadow form is so pigmented and as a highlight blended gives this rich golden tone. Perfect for upcoming summer and to give a luminous glow. The formula is a nice cream consistancy but more a thick balm, which allows for just enough product to be applied. It's a beautiful product and im defiantly purchasing the additional shade.

- Natural Almond Oil Mascara
Smudge-proof, water resistant and made with the highest quality ingredients. Super organic almond oil strengthens and lengthens lashes, prevents lashes from falling out and stimulates growth with conditioning vitamin E. Perfect for sensitive eyes and contact lenses. Be kind to your eyes and choose this all-natural mascara with no chemicals or synthetic ingredients.

- Natural Mascara's
1. Easy to use with a bendable brush for expert application. Always apply as the last step in your makeup routine.
2. Simply dip wand into container, wipe excess mascara on the rim and apply in upward strokes to the underside of your lashes. Apply several layers to build colour on top lashes, and a single layer to bottom.
3. Apply to eyebrows to shape them in upwards motions, then straighten out the top line.
4. Remove mascara with sweet almond oil.
This mascara is well presented and the brush goes from a thin to thicker wand width. This aids with application as the thin end can coat the thinner lashes, the rest of the brush coats your lashes really well. Its a drier formula which means it adheres well to the lash and gives a fantastic pigmented coat of mascara. Really lovely mascara that didnt clump etc, seperated my lashes and gave me a lovely natural look.

- LookBook
This look includes me using the highlight as a base for my eyeshadow and also shows two coats of mascara applied. I love the cheek/lip tint as it is not drying and easily can be blended out. I love the look the highlight especially allowed me to create, it was perfect for eyeshadow as the slight tackiness held the shadow as I packed it on for blending.
The mascara to finish off the look just brought it all together. I love these products and im excited to purchase more, as the quality and natural product choice is fantastic.

W7 - New makeup

W7 is a well known affordable UK brand. Ive used many of its products over the years, plus been very impressed with the quality. Ive bought and was kindly sent some to trial (Lashtastic mascara, a hint of tahiti, Viva la berry lipstick and eye dream liquid shadow) by W7 for review. I created a look using these product's.

About :
Colour cosmetics for all - who will you be today. W7 is an incredible budget make up brand with a huge variety of products.

Lashtastic Mascara
Lashtastic creates a look of false lashes with a short plastic brush applicator.
- Im a very fussy mascara consumer. I have quite a hard time finding one i really love. I was honestly not expecting much from this product. I do think the packaging could be improved upon and thats a personal opinion. The mascara itself is applied by a rounded plastic wand, with small but well spaced "application hair's". It looks very liquidy yet on closer inspection it is a very pigmented liquid/gel hybrid. Upon application the mascara made my lashes look long and the pigment was so black that i was stunned by the fact this was only coat 1. The second coat made them look darker and I would just need to curl them if i wished. This is an impressive mascara for when you need something affordable.

Eye dreams
Create a stunning long wearing, crease proof eye look. Precise eye framing with the precision applicator tip, creating a soft and natural look.

This eye base is a swipe of liquid gold. I did think how best would this be used. I then decided to save this for a gold and green look, I have planned with some amazing lashes. Based on consistancy and time taken to dry, I will use a light base of this shadow then do a darkened green/gold cut crease. Then using a forest green on the outer V for intense definition. I will keep you posted on this look.

- Viva la berry
Viva Glam Lipsticks are perfect Autumnal colours, weather you want a dark berry or a more pink berry shade, there is going to be a perfect shade for you. The lipstick glides on for easy application and has a moisturising effect on the lips with excellent staying power.
Very creamy and is pigmented, I placed the lipstick in the centre's to define the outline's. Then i simply rolled my lips and the colour filled the small space I hadnt applied product too. It gave a natural and even colour to my lip's.

In the glow & A hint of Tahiti
In the glow
Illuminating liquid formula that highlights facial features.

A hint of Tahiti
Violet gel based lip and cheek stain. Also available in Bali, Cuba and Rio
In the glow
Is a really subtle highlight that is just on the champagne side. When lightly tapped out, gives a lovely addition to the cheek. This needs just a small amount to give that hint to the cheek and it is buildable. Also i would give advise to tap these liquid's in with your ring finger, rather then a sponge to get the most from them. Lovely liquid illumination.

A hint of Tahiti
You look at this shade and automatically think wow thats going to be intense. Whilst it can be if you added 2 layers, with just 1 layer it gives a beautiful rosy glow. If you want a more noticable blush then just build the layer and for lasting power a small dab of translucent powder dabbed on top seals them to get a little more wear time. Again apply with the ring finger and dab whilst moving the blush to the area you like.

W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow &  making waves eyeshadow palette
- W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow
Bronzer & Highlighter In One Handy Box. Use The Bronzer To Creat A Tanned Complexion. Use Highlighter To Creat A Defined & Sculptured Look. Create Super Touch Cheekbones. For Sun Kissed Look & Finishing touch.

- Wowzer's now whilst this is a subtle highlight and amazing bronzer. I am aware this highlight may only enhance,  pale up to the lower spectrum of medium skintone's. Its really the cheaper sister to the other well known higher end product, as you can expect this is not as buttery but as far as pigment etc ..... Save your money and pay for this until you want to splurge. This is the alternative you can use and be proud of.

- W7 making waves eyeshadow palette
A luscious pigmented eyeshadow palette that is sure to make your eyes look fabulous! The palette comes complete with 5 complementary colours.

- Again another dupe for the high end version and i must say after seeing the alternative version and its not so hot review's. I was hoping that W7 would give this a run for its oh so expensive price tag, sure enough it did. W7's version is light and buttery feeling shadows, give a beautiful light natural look. The swatches shown are of each colour panel, it gives buttery colour payoff and also using a smaller brush helps. Im highly impressed by this palette.

- Lookbook - Using all the W7 product's mentioned
We all love having a splurge and treated but doesnt it make it more fantastic feeling every now and again ?
However for those daily makeup needs and with everyone nowadays looking for quality, but affordable alternative's for makeup. W7 always comes to mind for affordable makeup and on looking recently at current product's they have available, I just had to purchase the certain items above. My lookbook show's the eyeshadow has given a lovely light look suitable for daily use. Even using the darkest shade to do my eyebrow's. The liquid blush and highlight give a beautiful naturally flushed look. They can be set with a translucent powder or using the hollywood highlight & bronzer palette. I used the bronzer to give a light contour and it blended seamlessly with everything. The lipstick finished the look and gave my lips the hydrating finish which eliminated the need for gloss. So overall W7 do have some amazing product's that stand out because they give flawless daily look's, with the most ease.

Il keep buying W7 when im needing product's on a budget and proudly use them.

Yves Rocher - Makeup review and look

Now I've been so impressed with the skincare, i wanted to see if the makeup was as good. Eye makeup is my main focus whenever i wear makeup, as i think it can be so exciting and creative. I received a pack of eye makeup from Yves rocher and at the end of my review i will show you the look i achieved.

They say :
to captivate…

Yves Rocher constantly innovates to offer trendy and creative make-up products. Daily, our new

make-up products are irrefutable beauty allies. Yves Rocher can offer all women high-quality

affordable cosmetics at local outlets because it is an  all-in-one grower, producer and distributor that

handles every stage of its products with no middlemen. This uncompromising course of action has

always been the brand's standard and always will be.

The products il be reviewing and trying are :
Eyelid primer
Eyeshadow Quad
Mascara volume vertige
100% Kajal eyeliner

Eyeshadow Quad

Yves Rocher is reinventing the smoky eye with its new eyeshadow combinations featuring four effects for endless customised options. Easy to apply, the ultra-soft and fine textures blend into the skin for perfect coverage. A flawless hold and pure radiant colours that give you a perfect look.

Green quad and swatches

LooksUsed dry, the ultra-pigmented tones reveal shimmering, satin or matte effects. Used wet, the shimmer and satin turn metallic, and the matte becomes dense for a more intense and sophisticated look. Always in perfect harmony, they offer endless personalized makeup possibilities.

The eyeshadows are light in texture and buttery, applying well to the eye and adhereing to any primer with no fallout. Even the light glitter shade did not cause much concern in application and blended in well with the other colours on blending. In applying as recommended on the package i achieved a lovely deep green smokey eye, with the light green giving a beautiful lightness to the look. The black was very pigmented and only little of the eyeshadow is needed to achieve this look. I really liked the packaging and product in the way it performed. Perfect for travel and i would not hesitate to purchase any of the other shades to try.

Mascara Volume vertige

Mascara Volume Vertige : Maximum volume and spectacular curve. The unique combination of the Reservoir© Brush, which releases the perfect amount of mascara to maximise volume. The formula enriched with a fixing botanical extract, leaves your lashes looking sensational.

Gives a light and pigmented application onto the lashes with no clumping. It allows for perfect placement of the mascara onto the lashes. In application and drying it was very fast, then took another layer very easily again without clumping. During the day it did not flake nor cause any irritation. On removal it came away easily and with little trouble, a very impressive mascara both on the eye and on removal.

100% Kajal Eyeliner

100% Kajal eyeliner : Eyes highlighted in luminous colour this spring. Yves Rocher unveils the key to your powers of seduction. A creamy intensely pigmented Kajal in 6 trendy beguiling shades for a captivating look.

This Kajal is creamy and very pigmented. It can be applied from the bullet and also be applied using a brush. On the inner part of the eye i used a smaller brush, the product was creamy enough to apply like this. I used a small brush to just apply some shadow to the liner to set it, as it was so creamy. However it did not give me any indication it would transfer or not set, i just wanted to help it last longer. It is a step i would do with any cream liner. This liner can also be applied to tight line and used in the waterline.

Eyeshadow primer

Fixing Eyelid Primer : Smoother eyelids for intense colours which stay radiant for longer. Plus eye-shadow remain's in place. Enriched with Camellia oil, this eyelid primer smoothes and fills wrinkles and fine lines.

This eyelid primer is meant to help the eyeshadows stick, plus keep them looking strong for however many hours you need your eye makeup to last. In saying that it didn't give me a very good base to cover my veins and blue tinge that i would usually find in my primer. Now this is a moisturising primer and if you don't need coverage for veins or dulling this skin colour then its amazing. I would still use this as a primer to moisturise, then use a coloured base so i have a skin colour canvas to work on. So it did fill the lines and didn't make my shadows crease which was important. So whilst I'm very on the fence about this primer, it does moisturise plus feel silky. It does need more pigment to become a firm base for ladies needing the coverage.

Look with products

Above is the look i created using only the 4 above mentioned products. As you can see just below the eyebrow where there is a reddish tinge is, that area is where the primer needs to be more pigmented to help cover that. Other then that feedback, i can say these products do perform. They offer a silky, pigmented and quality makeup. Im quite excited to use more products from the range and see what i can achieve with them.

Younique : Moonstruck 3D fibre lashes

A product from one of the most talked about, plus heavily promoted brands of this year. Has caused quite a divide of opinions, especially this particular product. Hence my curiosity was heightened to try it for myself, to experience its use and then seeing the results first hand.

Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

Our best selling product, 3D Fiber Lashes dramatically enhances and magnifies the appearance of your own lashes.

They say :
Our simple three-step process combines Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers, to help create the appearance of incredible thickness and volume to your existing lashes. The 3D Fiber Lashes are water resistant but easily wash off with warm water and facial cleanser at the end of the day. It will quickly become your favorite makeup must-have.

So how to use ?
- To prepare your eyelashes for optimal results, first apply one thin coat of your own regular favorite mascara and let it dry.
- Then apply Moodstruck Transplanting Gel to your lashes.
- Immediately following, while the gel is still wet, apply the Moodstruck Natural Fibers.
- Reapply the Transplanting Gel a second time to secure the natural fibers onto your lashes.

Natural lashes & Younique 1 Layer

So the above photo shows my natural lashes, against 1 layer of the Younique mascara. Application was easy and followed as the instructions say. However i have some pointers for people whom are seeing the "spider" effect.

On the fibres brush there are alot on there (first use there will be), so applying that to mascara is going too obviously cause clumping. I ran off the excess fibres on a clean wipe, making the fibre brush visible which ensures brushing onto the lash. So when i came to apply the fibres onto the gel, there was an instant noticable thickness of my lashes with no clumping. So preparation of the fibres to brush the lash, then have the wand pass like a mascara wand should is key.

It was a obvious change from my natural lashes and using my tips and representative's help. I experienced no clumping, falling of fibres or irritation. Next time i will curl my lashes as they are so long afterwards, that they would benefit from a light curl. Also i had a clean spooly which combed my lashes as they dried, just to keep them straight. As my lashes can cross over (even with false lashes and mascara) so thats why i do this step.

Now ive tried a handful of lash fibre's with mixed result's. So i tend to stick to false lashes or plain mascara. However Younique impressed me, as it made my lashes very long and increased volume. Despite the heavy selling technique's and bad photo's circulating. I wanted to try this myself and see if this product did what it said or would i have the same experience. I've used tips and steps, from my experience and also an amazing Younique representative. I liked the packaging and presentation, it is too a very high standard. The product for me is very good. If you want more thickness, yet no fuss of false lashes then its a brilliant addition. I will continue to use Younique Moonstruck 3D fibre lashes.

W7 - Makeup and Nail polish

W7 cosmetics widely known as a brand that is affordable and quality product range. I was kindly sent some products to do a review on. As I heard the boxed powders were affordable dupes to some more expensive counterparts. I've decided to buy some to review aswell. So there will be a part 2 for face and box powders from W7.

So I was sent to review mostly eye products from the range, plus a nail polish.

I was kindly sent Rock and roll , Glitter eyeliner in black , Stardust in silver , Magic eyes mascara in black, Eyelid primer and finally a beautiful red glitter polish.

The Rock and roll eyeshadow is a rollerball mechanism. It is a beautiful brown colour with micro shimmers. So I will do a natural eye, then run the rollerball over my lid to add the shimmer. Perfect for the party season and these come in a range of colours. So if you want to add some zing to a favourite matte shade then use this product.

The stardust glitter is a mix of different sized glitters, at first I was not too sure about this as a pigment. It seemed very chunky and could be irritating, if not stuck down properly or if you have sensitive eyes. I personally would use this in a special effect look around the cheeks etc. I just don't feel very comfortable to put such a chunky glitter on my lid. I will of course to see and give it the chance to prove me wrong. So il use a mixing medium as a adhesive then pat it on top.

The black glitter Eyeliner I had expected a splotchy and uneven application. However il admit I was wrong and this eyeliner was very easy to apply. Very pigmented but with the glitter can come across charcoal looking. So I would place a black below this, then apply the glitter on top so it's colour is striking. It is excellent for party and going out looks or too jazz up a natural look. I found this to be the product that shocked me the most. I would purchase more colours.

The red nail polish also shocked me too. Expecting to have to layer this at least twice to gain a sufficient coverage. I found one coat gave me quite a pigmented layer with only a second needed for touch ups. It didn't chip easily which again surprised me and came off easily. I must say the quality of these products has improved since I last used W7.

So into the Magic eyes mascara which reminds me of another brands tube.
It is a good mascara that offers a brush to seperate lashes. It does not clump but I would leave time between applications. As with every mascara I've used, I would defiantly recommend this step. It allows proper setting and drying time. This is a good affordable mascara for daily use.

Primer magic eye primer is a creamy white primer. I must admit I did catch a wiff of a almost chemical smell. It applies so easily and absorbs into the eyelid.
Eyeshadows blend well but it's not particularly tacky so it's more of a primer to lay a base. I would choose a tackier primer for heavy pigments and glitters. For a just eyeshadow primer it's perfect and a nice texture too.

W7 can be found on fragrance direct or any number of reputable sites online. I would recommend investing in the box powders as you will see from my next review and also the Eyeliners, Nail polishes and shadows.

Pure Hart Cosmetics- Lipsticks and Lipgloss ( Part 1)

Now mineral makeup il admit is something I'm just getting into and I've become interested as to how it would help my skin. So I found a company called Kay hart mineral makeup, whom kindly allowed me to trial the line. (Can't thank Kay enough) The website is currently being re-worked but you can still order via the original site. Offering skincare, mineral makeup and nail colours and art.
So this first post will be on the lipstick and lip-glosses. I was sent 3 of each and they look similar but they apply very different. In this picture is also the mascara I will be using this week in my looks to show the eyeshadow colours post which will follow this post.

So with the lipsticks as with all mineral lipsticks can be a little less finely milled then commercial kinds. This being the mineral and Kay kindly explaining to allow the lipstick to warm a little so that it applies with ease, this did help and also Improved with the colour payoff. They are matte to the touch and I would pair these with the glosses below as I feel the colours do compliment. However a simple balm would be sufficient to help remove the matte feeling. In saying that we are in summer so chapped lips are not so much of a problem.

Petal - 094

Parisian Pink - 100

Poppy - 103

Now the glosses we move onto as you can see come on the swatch a little dark but when applied do tone down to the natural lip colour and these glosses really did impress me.

Lipgloss - Merlot 097G
\

I love how merlot is a deep rich reddish gloss yet when applied brings more of a rich berry feel to the lips and makes them stand out.

Lipgloss - Champagne 101G

Champagne was beautiful as a rosey gold and when applied have that natural look with a hint of golden depth to the lips. Very nice day-time gloss which will compliment a whole host of looks.

Lipgloss - Temptation 108G

Temptation was a nude colour and again looked dark but when applied it really works to the lips natural colour. I was very impressed.  So overall the lipsticks do take and need a bit of warming up but when they do apply (every mineral lipstick I've tried has a little gritty feeling) but that doesn't mean they are not good quality. Especially when looking for natural makeup. They lip-glosses were my favourite with the colours and application. Not to sticky on the lips and doesn't look overly glossy. Again I like that the glosses don't shine overly glossy. They are like a mix of gloss and lipstick to my feeling. So while you could apply these over a lipstick, you can also use these alone and make them the perfect handbag lip product. The wand in the lipgloss made it easy to apply, so if your looking for a natural makeup supplier then have a look at Kay's supply.

The website is under a new construction and I am contributing alot more looks with Kay's amazing mineral makeup. The eyeshadows are amazing and the concealers I've used already which is amazing to set undereye concealers and also neautralize any skin tone issues you may have.

Where have i been ?

Many of us use makeup as we have a passion or or it is nessesity of our daily life. For me it is a mixture of things. It is one of those ...
