Prudence and Crow : April edition (Classic fiction choice)

I really love book's and I am so happy that I found this subscription box. I love the classic literature and want to expand my collection. Im so excited for this subscription each month.

About : We are Prudence and the Crow, otherwise known as Abigail Shaw and Peggy Seymour, both from London. We love books. We have been working together online for sixteen years and believe wholeheartedly in the power of the internet to enable the greatest geekery and most joyful post. You may well have encountered us in the past in the guise of Mymble's Minion and The Mymble's Daughter.

We wanted a subscription service that would send us an amazing vintage paperback book every month along with added fun and surprises. There wasn't one so we made one. Our aim is to share our love of the content and aesthetic of previously loved paperback books with likeminded people from all over the world. Starting on the 13th of every month we send out exciting book boxes to our wonderful subscribers containing a vintage paperback book, a handmade book bag, a library card to catalogue their growing collection and added surprises.

April's Edition 2016
Content's :
- Vintage book
- Book bag
- Provisions envelope (Includes 2 Pukka tea's and 2 Moam sweet's)
- Vintage treat's (Includes Art postcard with reading list, 3 stamps, Penny and library card number)

This amazingly decorated envelope arrived with my first subscription and contained another envelope inside.
This next envelope is decorated and has handwritten the content's were specifically picked for you. (Pictured as above).

Vintage book & Book bag
This book is so amazingly presented and I have not got this edition either, so its fantastic to have a good book to read. Its been picked via the option's I chose when I subscribed. So you can pick what interest's you the most. I love that the book bag will protect my book, so I can take it in my bag with no fear of it becoming damaged.
Vintage treat's : Art postcard & Penny
This postcard is gothic art which I love and the book list on the back makes it great. I love finding new books to read and this list helps me find one's I may love. The penny included is in a collecting packaging to protect the coin. It has a saying on how pennies are used, I believe that sending a new purse as a gift you should include a coin. Its a little tradition of luck i have. So this is just amazing and truly a well picked item for me.
Vintage treat's : 3 stamps
The bag that all the items are in is a orange striped paper bag, with a star sticker to keep all the items within the bag. I love collecting items that i can use in my scrapbook or planner. The space and flower stamp's are beautiful and unique, I will be adding these to my scrapbook as collecting items. The space card is very unique and I do love sci-fi items and watch it on tv. So its great that I have a mix of classic fiction and sci-fi in my subscription.
Vintage treat's : Art postcard with reading list & library card number
The library card shows the edition number of the month and can be used as a bookmark. Also loving the list books that is on the back of my postcard.
Provisions envelope (Includes 2 Pukka tea's and 2 Moam sweet's)
This was the biggest surprise as its so clever and true, I love to have a calming cup of tea whilst reading. Plus having a sweet is a treat, as I do love to read during the day and the evening. This is a lovely treat that I wasn't expecting.

So overall, I love my new subscription to Prudence and crow. It gives me a new book every month and extra's which are hand picked. It feel's so personal to me and my passion's. Im loving that im finding new a exciting, unique subscription boxes.

In addition, we've partnered with niche brands to big brands all around the world to deliver you 4-5 deluxe products every month.

Content's of this month's bag :
- Starlook's :
 Lip liner in Stellar
Starlooks' long-lasting, full-coverage Lip Liner enhances the shape of your lips and gives them perfect contour and definition, with high-end quality you've never before experienced.
I love this creamy lip liner, which is very universally versatile. Perfect to blend with berry's, darker nude's and pink's. It is easier too blend with any lip product due to being so creamy. I think its a really nice product.

- Costal Scents :
  Luscious lipsticks in 08
Luscious lipsticks in 15 everlasting, creamy shades from vibrant pinks and deep reds to rich purples. Paraben Free formula.
This shade is beautiful !!! Its creamy and the pigment is so intense. Id love the shades to have name's and not number's. Im really loving this colour and the feel of the lipstick formula. I prefer creamy formula's as i tend to have drier lips, this gives me a chance to add a base colour (blot) then touch up if need be. This colour i definatly use a liner with in the form of a colour or clear wax pencil liner.

- City color Cosmetic's
Be Matte Lipstick in Latte
Be Matte Lipstick is your go-to product for a rich and completely matte look. Finished with high pigmentation, these lipsticks are infused with Vitamin E to keep your lips nourished and hydrated all day long. In 36 shades ranging from neutrals to bolds, you will never be short on choices.
I have to admit I'm not one for nude shade's, yet this would be a shade I'd gravitate towards to try. I cannot wait to see how this look's on me.

- Oscar Blandi
Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm

This intense nourishing treatment will saturate your hair from roots to ends for the ultimate restorative therapy. Powerful humectants balance the moisture level in your hair fiber to restore strength, moisture and shine.

-OFRA
Laguna beach liquid lipstick

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick is a one step full lip color that does not feather. These vibrant colors will give you a vivacious new look. They are creamy and soft in texture, moisturizing the lips and creating a long lasting lipstick effect. No need to use lipliner, this liquid lipstick gives a beautiful edge to your lip look.
Our formula is a matte color formula. All shades contain antioxidants and Vitamin E while the formula provides a lightweight layer of lasting color. For best results do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after applying.

This liquid lipstick is amazing, Ive avoided liquid formula as when dry, I then need to scrub my lips till there raw to remove. This formula was nice on my lips, dried down without feeling uncomfortable. I then used a huggies wipe with my Bee good cleanser to remove, which it came off so easily. No scrubbing or sore lips, I really am looking into investing more product's from this brand.

The presentation of a makeup bag, which seems common to some american beauty subscription's. I much prefer this to endless boxes, plus they are useful when needing a way to transport makeup within your handbag. These are all product's and brand's I've heard of but not tried. So as far as the contents are concerned I feel that the bag was well thought of.
There is a lovely end of winter season berry colour and then a lovely transitional shade into spring nude. Along with the beautiful lipliner to make these shade's pop, I can tell this bag was made with a new year in mind. This bag held colours to a broad spectrum. Something for everyone, luckily I loved them all.
The treatment balm is something I really need but like all skin and hair care, I cant say after 2 use's if it's showing definitive result's. So far it's lovely and my hair is in desperate need.

NUXE oil
Illuminating concealer pen

Journal with "My little box's story" in the first 5 pages
Very chic stickers

 Laptop / Ipad cover

First of all the bag is really cute and can be used for travel. Within the beauty bag was a huge surprise, by the quality of the products.
Now the NUXE oil is a product I've used and i can say without a doubt this is an excellent product. Im so thrilled with this addition.
Then the second pick in the bag, the Laura mercier foundation primer. Im amazed at the quality within this beauty bag, its high end with generous full sized samples.
Now the third product is the boxes own brand to try. This is lovely as french cosmetics and skincare, are always of high quality. I have the illuminator pen, I will happily report back to how this product works. So the beauty bag gets a massive thumbs up.

Now this is my cup of tea, i love journals to write lists and note down ideas. This journal is a high quality and thick, so that you will be able to write a lot of content. Then you have some amazingly cute sticker art to use if you so wish. These are just so chic and not childish at all, which may surprise people to know. Or might just be me in that i love all things kooky and outside of the box. They are high quality products with a beautiful artist touch.Im proud to have this at appointments, just sitting and writing my thoughts.

My last product was a laptop cover which is beautifully made and so soft. Its currently protecting my ipad and has space for my notepad when im in hospital. Ive enjoyed taking this to hospital and i will insert a picture on my instagram. Its a box full of surprises  and beautiful addition's.

I am so glad i saw this box on my friends blog then subscribed. Its worth every penny, for those of use bogged down with samples. If you are craving something new and inspired, then i recommend fully "My little box UK". Im excited for next month as its unique.
